I guess we'd have to ask MW2 type players what they think.
I think they'll say something like : Pointing and shooting takes less skill Definitely need a different kind of skill to use the keypad. However, I think the keypad is the reason a lot of them prefer to camp rather than go searching for the enemy. I play to enjoy the game in the manner I like to play. Like I said, we have a PS3 too but I never really enjoyed using it inspite of the awsome graphics. I simply do not have the "skill". But, I'm sure a lot of us can hold our own (and then some) if there was ever a chance to play across the platfroms.

I know I can I played CoD on my brother in laws XBox and I was running around like on Reflex not even using the sights. That extra .5 sec you save can get you a kill. He was amazed. xD Pointing and shooting may be easier but it translates to all players. There are some that can really point accurately; much better than the rest. It makes things more fast paced so either be more accurate or you'll suck.

I'm wondering if using the other controls would be worth it to not have to deal with lag.

Well Mum, I think it is less intuitive but if you look up some MW2 videos on the internet you will see that there are some people who are extremely good at using those controllers. It can be done although it probably will not be a "natural feeling" compared to the Wii.
The greatly reduced lag is a huge advantage and a giant step over the Wii. If you can get used to and become proficient using those controls then, yes, its totally worth it.

Idk if you've ever used a Gamecube controller, but it's not much different. totally worth it.

Well, I play a lot of CoD:MW2 and Halo 3 and I got to say, I actually enjoy playing with the Wii controls better than the Xbox 360 controller. You're right about the camping thing though banthaPudu. In CoD:MW2, I do quite a bit of camping while on MoH:H2, I dash the moment my screen turns black. 90% I can join a game after the last round has ended and then leave before anyone else can even join the game so I play very offensively on the Wii Remote but defensively on CoD. I think that the Wii has a much wider variety of skill than the 360. I mean, you can change the sensitivity of the joystick on the controller but it's just not the same as actual aiming. The difference between Sunday0627 and some noob is larger than a great player at CoD and a noob on there. Also, I enjoy playing the old N64 games despite the graphics. Sure, I enjoy better graphics but if a game has good game play/multiplayer, I'll still play it. Heck, I still play MoH:H2 sometimes.

I think it's obvious that Wii was an overall success no only because the sales, but because we can already see proof of Microsoft and Sony copying the Wii's sensing controls. Playstation with the Wand thing LT mentioned and Xbox with Nattel. Also, Nattel is going to cost around $200+ at least so in a sense, that will be their new "system". They probably won't come out with a new one until 2013 at minimum.
