Does the Vita have any games? Tons. Depends on what you want. There are plenty of games available, but I'd say half of the good ones are JRPGs.  Tongue

I will highlight what I consider the best of the bunch in red.

Also - a lot of good games on Vita are also available on either the PS3, PS4, or both. BUT I tend to go with the Vita version of everything when I have the chance. The screen is just so vibrant, and I love being able to infinitely pause games whenever I need to and resume instantly.

Final Fantasy X HD is what I'm playing right now on it. It is fantastic, and the port is as good as it could be. If you like JRPGs this is the best one on the Vita. Well, aside from... something else that will be mentioned later in big print.

Firstly, I should note that a good amount of these games are or have been free/discounted on PS+ before.

Unit 13 for instance is free right now, and it's a fun mission-based first-person-shooter that allows you to drop in and out of quick, intense, fun missions doing random things. It's good if you like mindlessly shooting up some guys on some missions.

Guacamelee is one of my favourite games, and it is so perfect on the Vita. Side-scrolling "metroidvania" platformer/action game. It is so fun, and really challenging.

Persona 4 Golden is hands down the best Vita game. The Vita is worth a purchase solely for this game. I knew nothing about Persona before this game, and it made me buy a Vita. From there, it almost instantly became one of my top 5 favourites of all time. The characters, the voice acting, the addictive/fun battles, the humor, the *school in the day, battling demons at night* system, the mystery, and even the story in general (which is honestly never that enthralling to me in games) are all almost perfect, honestly. Not only that but it is a 70 hour game. It can hold your attention for hours on end. The only barrier to entry on this one is that it is very Japanese, BUT even so, it's still very accessible to someone that isn't too fond of JRPGs. I recommend this game to absolutely everyone, regardless of gaming preference. It even tackles multiple "controversial" or "taboo" topics with such grace and respect. SO GOOD.

...anyways.

Plants vs. Zombies on the Vita is the best place to play it. It's a tower defense game if you didn't know, and in my opinion it's the BEST one. Using the Vita's touch screen, AND being able to shake the Vita lightly to pick up sun makes it the best version, no question.

Little Big Planet PS Vita is probably the "most complete" or "most refined" version of LBP. It's better than LBP2, and fits the console perfectly.

Tearaway, similarly, is a really charming game by the same developer, but it's not too long, and doesn't really have the same replayability. It uses the Vita's "gimmicks" in all the right ways, allowing you to fully embrace the world presented to you. It's basically the happiest game ever.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is a great choice if you just want an experience similar to Super Smash Bros. with PS characters on the go. It's really fun, and I prefer it on Vita over PS3.

Killzone Mercenary I have not played, but from what I've heard it's the best FPS on the Vita. I believe it, because Killzone is awesome. If you're looking for a shooter, this is the one for sure. DO NOT buy Resistance on the Vita. lmao

Uncharted Golden Abyss is good if you like Uncharted. Not much else to be said here. Basically, it's better than Uncharted 1, but not quite at the level of 2 and 3.

Gravity Rush is good, although I didn't like it much.

Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends (Platformers) are games I hear nothing but praise for, but I was never too fond of them.

Dragon's Crown is a fun and addictive co-op Action RPG, but I'd say it's better on the PS3. This is a rare instance, imo.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is a really fun, dangerously underrated game. I hadn't played the Sly games before the collection, and this one follows in the footsteps very well, considering it's a different developer. If it weren't for LBP/Tearaway, I'd call it the best 3D platformer-esque game on the Vita. It can be played on the PS3, though, and I don't know if the Vita one is a better choice, in this case.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is a good 'MarioKart'-like racing game. It fits well on the Vita.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is also awesome on the Vita. It runs surprisingly well, and it's a great game. If you haven't played it on PS3, or if you like Burnout Paradise (best racing game that isn't Mario Kart), try this out. It is really fun.

Those are some of the bigger titles. Here's some smaller ones, which is where the Vita shines to a lot of people.

Velocity Ultra is a very fun 'space-shooter'.

Super Stardust Delta - same as above.

Spelunky is a great time-sink, if you like dying then repeating what you just did but in a slightly different way to improve your time. Running through randomized levels that are always trying to kill you or make you kill yourself is fun/intense.

Thomas Was Alone is a neat little puzzle game.

Stealth Inc. is a fun, fairly challenging stealth game with platforming elements.

Sound Shapes is a great choice if you want a really unique and interesting 'sound' based game, where you peacefully run through levels and collect pieces to create music while playing. Oh, and then you unlock insanely hard challenge versions of each level. Did I mention they are insane? Platinuming this game was really frustrating but really rewarding.

Games I have not played but heard/know they're good:

Fez and Limbo - 2 puzzle games that fit perfectly on Vita.

Ys: Memories of Celceta - An action-JRPG that I want to play.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc - A visual novel / RPG / thriller / mystery thing that I don't quite understand because I haven't played it, but I want to. Tongue

OH and by the way, if you read all of this... the new Vita packaged with Borderlands 2 is coming out either next week or the week after that. That game is awesome, and it will be free with the purchase of a Vita, so why not?
