LT, why are you rooting for the dirty Spaniards. You should be rooting for the pure and glorious El Tri.

That said, how in the hell does a Spanish team with that much fucking talent go down like that? Jesus Cristo.

Spain's been playing ball in more or less the same way for a while. They've been studied. Also I think several of their players are kind of old already. They can still recover but not if Casillas doesn't get with the **** program.

>implying el nino is worth a damn.

Xavi I think is their playmaker but some think he's overrated.

I just want to watch some good games man. I'm not rooting for anyone really. I do want to root for Mexico but at the same time I won't because they don't stand a good chance of getting anywhere. They are very hit and miss and the way I see it, they don't have too many good players that can make things happen.

>implying chicharito is worth a damn

dos santos really came through today. He would have had 2 world cup goals if it wasn't for refball. he's probably my favorite player they have and I don't think he's a huge superstar.

i think most people don't understand this. i don't really blame them though. people like to see lots of points on the board and that just doesn't happen in soccer. it's actually pretty difficult to tear through a team of 11 guys with a ball that you can only control with your legs. that being said, it's super tense because things can change in a matter of seconds. a 0-0 game can turn into a 1-0 after 60 minutes and then you know **** is going to get hard for the losing team because goals don't come by so easily.

plus tactics are different from other sports because decisions are made and carried out within a matter of half a second. it's really not just a bunch of guys kicking the ball around. it's a very fluid sport.

but it's not for everyone and that's cool.

I know they arent expected to come out of there tough ass group but it would be **** awesome if they pulled off some serious ****

Awesome Dave.  You actually have a good MLS team in Seattle.  USA teams are starting to get a following and becoming skillful.

You should try to watch Japan vs Ivory Coast tomorrow. Both teams are better at attacking than defending, so there should be some goals.

Spain should have kept Llorente over Torres. <.<

and Michael Bradley is amazing <3

I was checking the schedule on my cable provider.  Looks like I have England/Italy and Japan/Ivory Coast on ESPN today.  Anyone aware of other options?

Those are the only two games really worth a damn. Uruguay/Costa Rica could be fun just because of Luis Suarez.

And for anyone looking for a fun read on the WC, read the Hater's guide to the cup:

Suarez probably isn't going to get to play.  Embarrassed

It should still be a decent game though.

Italy: The worst. THE WORST. The Dwyane Wade of soccer teams. If it snowed during an Italy game, Italian players would treat every snowflake like an oncoming bullet. MAMMA MIA! THE-A SNOW BULLETS ARE-A LANDING ONNA MY MEATBALLS!
