I did it streaming only because I had 2 months of blockbuster through the mail so I stopped getting my 1 bluray at a time through netflix, and then when my blockbuster deal was up and they raised the prices of through the mail at netflix and at the same time redbox was stalking alot more blurays in there machine, I decided to just save the 4 dollars a month on 1 bluray out at a time especially since you will never see the new releases forever if you don't have it sent out the day before the release date at netflix

stream or dvd/blu ray. doesn't matter. the point is to not have to deal with netflix's stupid suggestion algorithms and horrible search.

non-streaming...I really liked The Town with Ben Affleck and the crazy bomb defusing guy from Hurt Locker.

I haven't seen District 9 in a while, but I thought it was pretty good.

The Town was pretty good but I didn't really enjoy Hurt Locker. People act like it was the greatest movie of the decade and how it was so revealing. We've known some soldiers become attached to war and want to stay there, it's been in countless movies and shows.

Yeah, I saw Hurt Locker a while ago.  The reference was in there because the same guy was Ben Affleck's buddy in The Town.  Couldn't remember the guy's name.

I watched Serenity last night for the first time after watching the entire 14 episode Firefly series. I've seen Serenity before and thought it was a cool flick but it was ten times better now that I know the back story and characters. It makes me sad that they aren't going to make any more episodes and probably won't make another movie. I like that show. It's funny and the whole western space cowboy theme is interesting IMO.

It's a good thing Castle is still on tv though....  Roll Eyes

just saying.......... not to take anything from you but people are coming on here thinking this is like a brilliant idea of a topic when the fact is its been done many times before, I'm just saying if it was dedicated to streaming then it would be unique but what is the point of calling it netflix when its just about movies that you can get or watch anywhere, does netflix send something through the mail that I can't get somewhere else or something?

You know, I didn't really like District 9, and I typically love sci-fi stuff.

I know why I didn't like it, too: The dialogue.  Seriously, if 50% of the dialogue in your movie is gonna have the f-bomb in it, it shows me that the script was absolutely miserable and lacked a talented writer.  It took away from the plot because it made the dialogue negligible.  Kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

I mean, I'm all for realism in dialogue.  I don't like war movies that don't drop an occasional G-D or an f-bomb, but District 9 went way overboard with it.

yeah, district 9 wasn't the best movie but I liked it cuz it was different and had a lot of social undertones. it was basically a study of immigrant issues IMO.

When I watched Serenity the other night I realized how much it paralleled the issues involved in the debate of democracy vs communism.

Most movies and shows are just historical topics retold using pop culture settings.
