No. I won't believe this.

It's true. Sakurai just barely finished Kid Icarus: Uprising. It's been almost two months now so that is still not enough time to create a new Smash Bros. game. Maybe we'll still see Smash Bros. at E3, but in like a quick little video maybe.
A smart thing they can do, when they get more into development, is have a website where they release maps, characters, and items that are going to be in the game, like they did for Brawl. I can't remember the URL for that site but I remember that it really kept people excited at the brawl IGN forum I used to go to. I used to check that site every morning before I went to school. I remember people jizzed in there pants the day Sonic was released as a character. I jizzed when Wolf was.

Only thing is, a lot of people don't like to be spoiled...but with me, as long as it's not a surprised ending to a long story mode, then I'm fine.

Project cars looks and sounds great... on my phone at least. Could you post some more info on it? Specifically: specs on resolution/frame rate, wheel support, number of and types of cars/tracks, and if it's supposed to be a direct competitor with GT5/Forza type simulation racing games. Basically, any  in depth info you have.

I loved the daily updates as well! Here is the link for the site you are referring to and yes I agree that the new Smash Bros. should also do this.

(4/25/12)

Welcome back to Nintendo Daily! Today we have some good stuff to cover! Let's not waste any time and get started shall we?

Pokemon - Darkrai Distribution Event

On May 9th you will be able to get a special Darkrai for Pokemon Black & White. All you have to do is connect online with either game and get it.

Nintendo Zone officially launches in Europe

Europe has finally gotten the Nintendo Zone app. With this they have access to 3D trailers, trivia, Pokemon episodes, coupons, sports highlights, etc (at least here in U.S). I'm not really sure what exactly the Nintendo Zone application provides for them, but I'll be sure to do an update on this in a future edition of Nintendo Daily.

UPDATE: Looks like they only have the most basic features of Nintendo Zone for now. 'Nintendo Zone is a free location based, interactive service that allows you to access exciting content including upcoming trailers of games in 2D and 3D, product information, 2D and 3D screenshots, Nintendo 3DS game demos and free video clips.'

That is pretty much how our Nintendo Zone started off, but then we got trivia questions, coupons, Pokemon episodes, and now sports highlights.

UK's Top Ten single SKUs of all time - Wii hits it big

These are the top ten software games in the UK that have sold the most units! As you can see Nintendo has a lot of spots in the top 10 with Mario Kart Wii being the number one game!

Mario Tennis Open - Roster (Spoilers)

Here is all the currently known characters that will be in the game.

Mario
Luigi
Peach
Yoshi
Daisy
Boo
Dry Bowser
Bowser
Bowser Jr.
Donkey Kong
Diddy Kong
Waluigi
Wario
Baby Peach
Luma
Mii

There seems to be only one character missing from the roster that still remains a secret.

Dinosaur Office

I forgot to post this yesterday on Nintendo Daily, but the new season of Dinosaur Office is finally upon us! Nintendo Video actually had the episode since Friday of last week lol.

Season premiere episode "Viral Videos"

Sakurai - Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS will 'change direction', dual support is key

Our last bit of news just actually barely went live not too long ago. Ign just posted this.

"As you noted, there is a certain dead end we come to if we just expand the volume of the game. I intend to change direction a little as we go. The key to that's going to be its dual support for 3DS/Wii U. I'm really just getting started on this so it's going to take time, but I'll come up with something that uses that link as the game's central axis, so I hope you're looking forward to it." - Masahiro Sakurai

I can't wait for those daily updates (if he does them again) from the Smash Bros. Dojo! I'll gladly post each one every day here on Nintendo Daily. From what I've read above though it seems like 3DS and Wii U owners will be able to play online against each other among other possibilities.

Well that's it for Nintendo Daily! I leave you all with this video! Enjoy!

I cannot stand that chick in the video.  In every single video I've seen of her, she acts like a complete tard.  She's incredibly talented and I love hearing her music, but seeing her jerk around like drunk squirrel completely ruins her charm for me.

LMAO!! I'm actually quite jelly of her I mean she is incredibly talented and she lives near some beautiful landscape to film such a pretty video. I agree that she overdoes it on how she moves lol.

(4/26/12)

(Adjusts tie and smells breath. Check!) Welcome to a very business-y edition of Nintendo Daily! As some of you may already know today Nintendo had its Fiscal Year investor meeting where they revealed that they had a little over half a million dollar loss. This is the first time since they started doing video games where they had a loss. Some juicy info was revealed though! (Pulls out a pen and pretends to be busy writing something) Okay let's get started shall we?

Nintendo will soon offer digital copies of games for 3DS and Wii U, Confirms New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be digital and retail

Well the heading says it all doesn't it? Nintendo has assured its investors that they are embracing digital sales with open arms. They then revealed a few things:

- New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be sold digitally via the eShop, in-store retailers, and even online retailers
- The Wii U will support digital sales of its packaged games from day one
- Nintendo says it'll be up to retailers to price third party digital sales of games
- Games you buy digitally can ONLY be played from the system you download it to
- eShop titles currently only being sold on the 3DS may soon be available for in-store retailers and online retailers to sell as well like they did with 3D Classics: Kid Icarus (Gamestop, Best Buy, and Amazon were selling that game exclusively)
- If you want to buy a digital copy of a game, but don't want to use your credit/debit card then you don't have to. Just go to a retail outlet and buy the game there and receive a 16 digit code to use on the eShop and Wii U to download the game at your house

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgN47HCTldc&feature=player_embedded

Wii U software lineup to be revealed at E3, no price or release date

'We will showcase the final format, and discuss the details and the software lineup for this year at E3 2012, which will be held in Los Angeles in the United States in June this year.

Also, in the week after the E3 show, we would like to organize an opportunity where we can showcase the same to the Japanese wholesalers and financial analysts who cannot attend the E3 show. The people in our appropriate sections will let you know as soon as we have settled on further details.

Please also be advised that, as we did for previous platforms that were launched in the year-end sales season, we will announce the launch date and price in each market sometime after E3.
'

Well there you have it people. Don't expect at E3 to find out when the Wii U will launch and how much it will cost. Nintendo assures us though that they will reveal all that info soon after E3 just like they have done with all their other systems.

Onitore to be released overseas, will be retail/digital

'Additionally, we are developing “Onitore” (New Brain Age game), the software to train your concentration and working memories, with Prof. Kawashima at Tohoku University. We will release it in summer in Japan, and overseas afterwards.

Onitore will be made available through both retail and the eShop.
'

Nintendo has unannounced 3DS titles for the fiscal term, will release in 'timely manner' plus Wii U info

Nintendo revealed that they still have first party 3DS games that they have yet to reveal (like the new Brain Age game) that will come out this fiscal year. They assured investors that the 3DS will have a rich first party support from them and that their first party 3DS games will be released in a timely manner. They have learned from their mistakes of the 3DS launch and also assured them that the Wii U will have great games from day one.

Pokemon Rumble Blast joins the 3DS millions sellers club

Super Mario 3D Land (5.84 million), Mario Kart 7 (5.24 million), The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D (2.61 million) Monster Hunter 3G (1.40 million) and now Pokemon Rumble Blast (1.08 million)! The 3DS is looking good for Ninty and even third party publishers.

Nintendo won't sell incomplete titles to make up money on digital, Animal Crossing DLC

Well that's pretty much all Nintendo talked about in the investor meeting. They also re-assured their investors that they will be supporting DLC, but that doesn't mean that they will be releasing incomplete products just to make a quick buck on DLC. They also hinted that Animal Crossing 3DS may support DLC.

Dragon Quest X For Wii Releasing In August

Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest X will be released in Japan on August 2nd for the Wii. Japanese gamers will be able to purchase the standard version which will retail for 6,980 ($60) yen while the bundle containing a USB memory card will cost 8,980 ($77) yen.

Both versions of Dragon Quest X will come with 20 days of free online play.  Here’s the subscription pricing: 1,000 yen ($12) for 30 days, 1,950 yen ($24) for 60 days, and 2,900 yen for 90 days ($35). Payment can be made either by credit card or by using Wii Points via Nintendo points cards. Players will be able to create up to three characters per account.

Square Enix has also announced plans to create a “Kids Time” program that will allow children to play for free for a specific period of time. Square Enix wouldn’t reveal when the Wii U version would be coming, or when Dragon Quest X will be released in North America and Europe.

Fire Emblem: Awakening getting three more DLC packs next week

-after completing one of the DLC packs, you will recruit Micaiah from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and obtain a book that teaches a Skill to raise all stats +2 when equipped
- another pack will reward you with Alm from Fire Emblem Gaiden, as well as a scroll that will promote any male unit into the Demon Fighter class
- the third DLC pack contains an original map
- it also features a boss that will get you 7000G to use in the game
- two of the packs cost 300 yen, while Alm's will be 400

This week's eShop digital downloads for April 26th

Block Factory (Nintendo eShop)

Seems pretty cool that you can create your own games. I'll wait for reviews on this one.

Super Street Fighter II™: The New Challengers (Virtual Console)

Game actually has online play so you can fight people online on the Wii!

Chuck E. Cheese's® Arcade (Nintendo eShop / Nintendo DSiWare™)

LOL! Guess it's fun for the little ones.

I Fight Dragons "Save World Get Girl" (Nintendo Video)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CC_z43AHak&feature=related
The 3D music video is on Nintendo video and it's pretty cool! They use the NES zapper a lot to shoot monsters.

Nintendo Show 3D - April 26th (Nintendo eShop)

That's all folks! (Clears throat) What a crazy and business-y edition it was! Now it's time for when I leave you guys with a video game type of video! Enjoy!

!

Wow Mex, you sure are working hard on these posts.

I think it's great that Nintendo is finally getting with the program and expanding on their online store. I think they have also set themselves up for the casual market a little bit better with the 3DS and I've noticed that for a while now. Just shows that that's the direction things are going now. Online purchases of full, casual type of games. I wonder how the 3DS will compete with Apple and their products.

Also, I'm not going to lie, I'm not really interested in most of the games that you post. The only one that I would like to get is the Onitore game. I really need to exercise my memory and concentration and I'm sure there are other better ways of doing it but I kind of liked Brain Age. I might consider buying a 3DS sometime down the line for games like that.

(Adjusts tie and smells breath. Check!)

By the way, your tie is crooked and your breath is rancid.
