Is it 360 exclusive DLC?
If so, that really bothers me.

Just looked. It seems that they are getting it first and everyone else gets it eventually like CoD. That really bothers me too.

Any word on dates for ps3? I haven't played it in about 3 months and I'm starting to get the itch again. I might even start a new character.

You are both correct that it is Xbox exclusive for 30 days. And life is too short for it to bother me at all. I personally think that MS does not really get their money back for what they spend on the exclusivity. Even worse when it is only for one platform like SOCOM, HALO et al. Why would you limit your potential?

I just don't get why companies keep thinking this is a good marketing strategy.
Doing this doesn't make me want to get a 360. It hurts my opinion of Microsoft and Bethesda. That's it.

Yeah my point exactly, why limit your audience if you are a big time company? Maybe if you are starting up it would be different but Activision, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Rockstar and the like only hurt themselves with the other platforms. Then again these are not particularly well run companies, the $60 standard for games is under attack and they don't even know it. An app on my iPhone is only a dollar, this is going to create a paradigm shift in the industry.

Well in my opinion it's more of a **** slap in the face. Undr is right in that there's other more important stuff to worry about but what's really annoying about the situation is that when we do get our copy of the game it turns out to be a half assed port. The two biggest games that have exclusivity on Xbox are CoD and this game and they both have had some pretty serious issues on the PS3 version.
To me it's like saying, "here, you get a crappier version, later than the rest but we'll still take your $15/$50."

it's a good marketing strategy for microsoft. players with both the xbox and ps3 will obviously get the xbox version now, and bethesda gets a shitton of money for doing that. they don't lose any profit, just delay some.

Microsoft doesn't really benefit too greatly, though. Chances are the number of people who have multiple consoles is lower than that of people who have only one console, so they're not really raking in too much extra money by having it exclusively for a time. And it just makes me think more poorly of Microsoft's gaming department.

ehhh, i think they're getting a lot of extra revenue from people that own both ps3 and xbox360.
i'm sure microsoft has 10,000,000,000 economists working for them that have figured it all out, lol.
