Tho some attribute this to the Aztecs,its actually the Mayans who it dates back to.Its said to be the end of the world as we know it I kind of doubt it but it is interesting that the sun goes into what they called the tree of life-we call the "dark rift".The planets will be in a line possibly leading to a gravitational pull that could reverse our magnetic polarity.Studies have shown this has already started,just interested if anyone has thoughts on this-

What I've heard about this is that it is actually an "awakening"/change. It's not supposed to be the end of the world.
Maybe the change is humanity finally rising up for the greater good and beating these corporate ****s.

You need to up the bet, I bet a million that it won't happen. Either way you win.  As for the topic afew different cultures made calanders that end around the same time. I just think the guy making the calander said screw it they can add on more later. |

The theory is based on a Mayan crop calendar.
The Mayans were wiped out in the early 16th century.
It probably seemed silly to continue a calendar past the year 2012 when your entire civilization has been wiped out.
