Wii Unite is now a gaming clan!

To top off a few of the things that the staff has been implementing the past few days,  Wii Unite is, for the first time since its conception as a central hub for clans, making its own competitive team.

We are starting with Awesomenauts for the PS3 and will hopefully be clan warring by next week.

We currently have a Wii Unite clan forum setup only visible to staff, founding members, and the team. If you are interested in starting your own division for any game, we have yet to fully determine this process but don't worry, we will not make it hard for you.

- Shouldn't be a problem since a lot of community is already in clans anyways, but if you're on the actual team for a specific game, you are expected to always play on our side.
- Gonna be more of an open leadership type thing where one person doesn't make all the calls. I'm kinda modelling the team setup from my own experience with TEC, and I've never actively been apart of a clan that had an established leader that made the calls, so if there's advantages to that system I dunno about please tell me.
- Well we've been discussing this for awhile. But basically Awesomenauts is exactly like MOH in the sense that there's a bunch of clans for the game and it looks like GF is going to end up being one of the main central hubs for its competitive gaming. Not to mention I'm (arrogant mode) really **** good at Awesomenauts and feel like this would the game I'd easily be able to start up a team for.

I see. What ever happened to starting one for GCI and other shooters? I wouldn't mind getting competetive again.  Do I need + to DL awesomenauts?

Well GCI didn't have private matches. As far as me personally, last time I actively competitively played Call of Duty was MW2. I gotta have the game to make a team I'm not stopping others, but no one else is showing initiative it only cost 10 dollars, btw. free with +

like every division? no. but i mean if you apply to the team, and become a part of it you are kinda expected to play unless its a time constraint. but if you feel like youd lose interest, try and give us notice before you quit playing so we can find a replacement member

No, I meant can we play a game with 'clan members' but never actually war?  Kind of like with BC2/BF3, we've all played together with the WU tag but haven't warred. Is it mandatory to war in every game?

oh yeah thats straight. just as long as you dont actually express interest in being a part of the team, and then suddenly stop because thats time we wasted since we now need a replacement for

Cool, Kreater.  It takes a bit of getting used to (learning curve is kinda like MoH's), but once you get the hang of it you'll do fine.  Just expect to get on some crappy teams now and then.

one thing is one of the most team based games ive ever played. you will NOT be able to perform solo work. moh was "go rambo all over the place"

Hopefully with the new WU clan I can finally have some decent teammates.  It's been ages since I've had familiar faces to game with regularly.

I'll add you next time I'm on. And do you guys really think + is worth it? I keep hearing good things on here but that 1 mo. trial I had was pretty disappointing. I got a theme and and avatar I've never used.
