http://www.bethblog.com/2012/05/24/mounted-combat-arrives-in-latest-skyrim-update/I squealed like a little b*tch when I read this. I will be playing Skyrim for days on end after this update.

Yep. Now I'll actually get a horse. I love Bethesda. <3
They're doing everything right right now.

I bought a horse on my first character and haven't bought one since. There is a lot of traveling, but since I stop to pick up every blue mountain flower and yellow butterfly I find and fight wolves/bears/mountain lions/assassins/thieves every chance I get, I didn't see any reason to go through the trouble of mounting and dismounting my horse hundreds of times.
But now I doubt I will ever dismount my horse. I just hope the controls are good.

Yeah, I find my horse Shadowmere, as much as he/she can take a near infinite amount of damage, very annoying because he/she'll run into a battle scenario when I'm trying to be stealthy. <_<

This sounds cool.
I love Shadowmere too but before that I'd just steal horses if I wanted to explore around. I usually used them to take short cuts up mountains since they can pretty much walk up a vertical road.
I usually jumped off from too high, killed the horse and stole another, no biggie.

damn shadowmere was awesome accidentally killed the damn thing, though, horses kinda suck in this game tbh

Um, staunch evolutionist scientists will tell you there is no scientific evidence that evolution exists.

Yes, shadowmere is awesome. I accidentally killed him once by jumping off a cliff so I just reloaded after that to keep him. Now I wonder if they'll let you mount a dragon!!

There are mods for the PC version that will let you do just that, K. Unfortunately they haven't been added to consoles... yet.
If Bethesda gave us that, I would offer them my hypothetical and highly unlikely firstborn.
