so you propose we get rid of welfare? great idea.
As long as you give people something to lean on, they will lean on it.

I agree with ddd on the last few post that he posted. Welfare is okay in a sense im fine with the idea of it but there are alot of discrepancy's thank god for the passage of welfare reform under the clinton administration, there is a time limit as to how long someone can stay on welfare, and it can vary from state to state depending on circumstances. It depends on how committed one is to staying on welfare. The first wave is to have kids and be poor. In theory, you have 5 years of the dole for that. If you can get a physician to give you a phantom illness diagnosis, you can get disability payments forever (mental disorders are harder for the government to disprove...as are back injuries). Another tact is to do a terrible job raising your kids, so that they appear to have severe Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder...and apply for them to get disability. That can go on until the youngest one is 18. There are limitless ways to bull**** the system.

Also on your example turbo it will be way more then 32m that gets taking out. I get the whole they owe there society so on and so forth but rich people get the **** end of the stick for real and i don't see it helping anything and i think its complete bull**** tbh. I think everyone should pay some taxes geting taxed like 40 percent of what you earn is ridiculous and its going to get worse and worse. I believe rockefeller said this "gain all you can, save all you can, and give all you can" i don't think you should be forced to do anything it should be your personal choice if you want to give alittle extra ,(more then the set taxes that should be for everyone) and then let philanthropy run its course.

One of the France presidential candidates (Socialist) wants a 75 percent tax rate for the top earners for their country well thats what he proposed. I mean i don't even know what to say about that how can anyone think that is a good idea or fair in the slightest i mean come the **** on. This is where we are headed and its complete bull**** and unamerican.

This site is liberal as **** just trying to add other view points. It gets annoying as **** when you say anything remotely conservative you get flamed up the ass with foxnews watching, boring right winged, mountain dew drinking, religious nut , gun clinging, nascar watching, dieseling driving, bald fat ass with wranger wearing, billy goat toby keith listening **** tard.

That can go on until the youngest one is 18. There are limitless ways to bull**** the system.

There may be ways to BS the system, but your problem is that you're taking a minority of people that abuse the privileges given to them and apply that to a whole. Of course there are flaws with it, but as a whole it is undeniably a good thing for a lot of people. There are literally millions of examples of how welfare positively impacted someone's life. Taking that away, or limiting it severely, would make a huge portion of desperate people very angry, with nothing to lose. This, to me, sounds like a poor decision. My problem with the majority of the people against welfare is that they haven't even come close to experiencing the hardships that many people that use welfare to their benefit face, a good portion of them through no fault of their own. It's easy to rag on welfare when you express these opinions on your expensive computer, from the comfort of your safe, air-conditioned room. Nothing angers me more than when a rich teenage girl from Texas asks her millionaire Daddy to take her to the amusement park, then turns around and tells people that it's their own fault they need the assistance of their fellow American.

Also on your example turbo it will be way more then 32m that gets taking out. I get the whole they owe there society so on and so forth but rich people get the **** end of the stick for real and i don't see it helping anything and i think its complete bull**** tbh. I hope you don't genuinely think rich people have it hard in America. That seems very disingenuous. I find it's easy to argue that the people that truly have it hard are the kids that were born into a poor, low-class environment, and are tasked with climbing their way out of their unfortunate genetic situation themselves, because the Top 1% don't care enough to help their fellow Americans. And, oh, the parent couldn't support the child because her favorite Republican Congressman decided he could tell her what she could and couldn't do with her body. Leaving things like taxes up to personal choice sounds like a narrow-minded philosophy. We all know that if they could, the overwhelming majority of Americans would rather pocket 100% of their paycheck than pay X% of it to the government. I think one thing you're overlooking is the fact that taxes aren't there simply to support the poor. Taxes contribute to a safer, smarter, more vibrant America. I gladly pay my taxes knowing that a good chunk of it goes to my local Fire Department or Elementary School.

One of the France presidential candidates (Socialist) wants a 75 percent tax rate for the top earners for their country well thats what he proposed. I mean i don't even know what to say about that how can anyone think that is a good idea or fair in the slightest i mean come the **** on. "This is where we are headed and its complete bull**** and unamerican." No evidence or demonstrations to support this claim. Baseless claims shouldn't be taken seriously. America is so far from a 75% tax on the upper income threshold it's not even funny.

I don't think this site has a liberal bias, so much as truth has a liberal bias.

I don't think rich people have it harder then poor people they will still have some money ,of **** course poor people have it worse, im not arguing that in the slightest all i am saying here is geting taxed that hard is not right alittle less then half of your money. Ive said that taxes are a good thing never once argued that but they pay way to much is the whole point here. Everytime i buy a coke or a tv and i get taxed my 8.25 Perc im totally and completely fine with that. No one here is rich its easy to not give a **** but think about it if you busted your ass or hell even got lucky and half your money goes to taxes i doubt you will be like oh i did my part for society.

Its going to get worse because thats how people think these days might not be a year from now or 50 years from now but it will get closer and closer to that.

Start fact-checking your shit and maybe we won't be suspicious you're getting your news from people who don't fact-check their shit either.  You make claims like the one about one of France's presidential candidates without citing any evidence.  Don't think I've forgotten about that time you went off the deep end about how Obama outspent all the previous presidents combined.

As it turns out, however, you were being truthful about that candidate.  He does want to raise the income tax to 75% for people that make over 1 million euros so they can climb out of their national debt.  Doesn't seem so damn crazy at that point, does it?

You're acting like they're going to lose their goddamned livelihoods because they're getting taxed more.  If someone makes 10 million euros in one year, they still keep 2.5 million of it.  That's how much profit they get to keep.  Profit is not how much money their companies produce in revenue in one year.  It's how much their revenue outweighs their expenses.

And ffs, he's the socialist candidate.  Were you expecting him to be screaming about laissez-faire until a bald eagle came flying out of his ass?  Besides, if you actually think America is anywhere close to being socialist, you most certainly have been getting your information from FOX news.  We're some godawful blend of I don't even know what.  But I can assure you that, when a country's politicians start considering money a form of speech (as America has for a long time), corporations will be the ones with the biggest influence in government, and that is not socialism in the slightest.

Of course he isn't.  But if he wants us to believe the claims he makes, he should probably get in the habit of showing some evidence for those claims.  Typically he just repeats whatever he's heard without checking to make sure it's true.

Yeah, people falsifying information as an excuse to deny equal rights to their fellow humans pisses me off.  I'm so silly like that.

And this is important how, exactly?  You hold certain opinions that many of us disagree with.  Doesn't matter if you're Republican, Democrat, or Independent.
