It's a classic in my opinion.

Yeah it's pretty good. Did you play the DS sequels?

Yeah I think so. It's been a long time since I played them all, and it wasn't back to back, so I can't talk much about pacing or how memorable different bosses were in comparison, but all the games I'd say are pretty good and worth playing.

In terms of innovation, they made the most use out of the dual screen and the extra two buttons, while staying careful not to make the combat too complicated. They never really bothered with the touch screen (and for good reason, probably would have been annoying in battle).

Yeah I've never been a fan of using the DS's touch screen.  I probably won't end up buying those games, but if I can find an emulator or something I might give them a shot.

Yeah, it's probably worth getting an emulator up and running for them. I'm sure you'd enjoy them if you liked the first. Ever play Paper Mario either?

Nah but I've heard it's a good quality game.  For some reason I just never was interested in it.

You might like the second one better, if you like Mario and Luigi. The first one let you only halve damage with a timed button press, but the sequel let you completely negate it with a much better timed button press (really hard though).

I usually dodge attacks in Superstar Saga without taking damage.  Or do you mean the first DS Mario and Luigi RPG?

My 20 artillery units lined at your border the one time we played would probably care to disagree.  Angry

And I just got done recording 70 minutes of gameplay.  No commentary yet, I'll go back and add that after I watch the footage and edit it down to remove superfluous stuff.  I'll finish recording the rest of the game at some point, but I think I'll just focus on the early game and how to dominate it as the Huns.

Isn't it hard to commentate after the fact?
