There are a lot of 8/16 bit "retro" games out there these days. It's pretty obvious that it's just done out of a limited art budget, and that most of these developers would spring for something like Dragon's Crown if they had the opportunity for it.
Just once, JUST ONCE, I wanna see a developer who says something along the lines of "Hey, we're just doing this 8/16 bit art style out of necessity for our super low budget, but if you like our game and support us, maybe we'll have enough budget for something really professional looking next time!"
Like seriously, how sweet would that be? I'd be like "**** YEAH! HONESTY!"

But it doesn't even matter.
Who even reads those Steam game descriptions anyway. And they all say the same thing that isn't fooling anyone.
