I kind of had a idea for a "gaming night" sort of thing that would mainly involve games that you can use on your browser but there was a problem with that thought. Something Autumn tried more than a year ago when there was a little more activity. But since some games require the Shockwave player or Flash, that would lower the amount of things to do. So I thought of this poll.

It's pretty much asking how you usually check the site. Do you use a PC or a Mac, your phones or tablets, a gaming console or handheld, or some other older device or wizardry?

This is not a scientific poll. Unless you want it to be.

I'm usually on my computer but if not there, then I am on the Wii U's Browser.

This is as good a place to plug this as any, I guess.

TagPro, a 4v4 capture the flag game where everyone's a ball and is bound to ball physics.

I've been playing it since about September.  It's got a really active community and its own competitive league which has its games streamed and commentated at twitch.tv/tagprotv.  Give it a try, it's really easy to get the hang of it.

Pretty good game. I can't into ball physics like some people out there apparently.

Takes some practice to get to the point where the physics just seems "normal", but it's definitely unique.

Some tips: use walls/other players to change direction more quickly, be patient when trying to pop the other team's flag carrier (you will get juked a ton when you first start playing), and learn to use boosts creatively.

I always felt like the failure of a lot of games we tried to get into together (like Water Warfare) was the lack of an established, easily-accessible competitive "league", which is why I recommended this one.  It's pretty much the only competitive game I play nowadays, and that's the reason.

I just took a shot in the dark and tried loading up TagPro on the Wii U's browser. You can actually play it on there, though the ping is extremely high and the fps is low. That could be because of my horrible connection. But I'm surprised that it works.

The FPS is definitely because of the WiiU's hardware.  For a browser game it's surprisingly demanding on a system.  But yeah, the ping is likely your connection.  Were you on Pi?  That's probably the one closest to you.

I picked the Atlanta server. But it makes sense though. It's probably something I would only play on my computer when I have nothing else to do. I'll keep that game in mind if anyone else is interested in it.
