I'm back at the gym for the first time in 3 yrs.  BTW, running sucks!!!!!

3 yrs ago when I stopped I was 175-180. Today was the first time stepping on a scale and now I'm 208.

Naw. I'm 6.0' I'm only 15 lbs over the norm for my size, but I just don't want to weigh that much. I liked being 175.

I don't doubt it. What's worse is that I work in the construction industry and tomorrow I planned on working in the field.  On a side note, I didn't sweat as much as I wanted to. I wanted McDonald's grease to pour down my face.

I'm back at the gym for the first time in 3 yrs.  BTW, running sucks!!!!!  Karter!! Long time no see dude! You're doing it all wrong dude. You should have started taking fast walks (perhaps with Mizz Kreater) and working up to the run. That is the way I started doing it. When you lift weights you start lifting light and only a few reps for the first few days (or until your muscles are not sore and are ready for more weight). I always ease myself into really slowly so that the sore muscles don't get in the way of my daily activities. Its good that you are working out though! Oh, and running is THE BEST!! Dave I like that sore feeling too.

That's what I did estupi!  I power walked for a half mile, then jogged for another half. Then I power walked for a quarter mile, and ran for another quarter. Then I power walked for another half, and jogged for another half. I did this until I reached 3 miles.  I also did 300 ab crunches and power bike for 20 minutes.  I can't weight lift because I messed up my shoulder at work. I might get it x rayed today.

Dork! I meant power walk exclusively for like a week until your muscles strengthen up enough to better cope with the running you will be doing. I think you just jumped into the whole thing too fast. Thats why most people quit after a week or so. They jump in **** first and they get all sore after the first day and decide they cannot take it anymore. xD
Oh, and that's what you get for lifting too heavy foo!! Get that x-ray!
