I've been wondering about how they are gonna control a shooter since they first showed the demo of this dildo controller. w/out a nun-chuck, how do they plan on handling all the inputs for moving and aiming and what not? It seems like I remember someone somewhere saying that you could hold the Dual-Shock in your other hand and play like that. kechua. that can't be right

Pff that would be gey. I'm sure they will release a nunchuck type add on or something. I hope its just like the Wii remote. I think for fps it kicked so much ass and to be honest, I never bought that wii motion plus thing. I don't think it was required for what I was playing namely, fps. and what do you know, MWR didnt require it.
Im sure Sony learned from Nintedos mistakes and included all the motion sensing crap into one piece. If it works at least as good as the regular Wii remote I will be happy. I just dont think there is a better way to control fps.

I hope they don't try and ruin shooters by letting you use motion control. That would suck.

I know. it looks hilarious w/ that glowing ball on the end! so I read a few articles and this thing is called the "Playstation Move." It was supposed to be called the "Arc," but they couldn't get a copyright for that name and had to change it to "Move" at the last minute. They had already made advertising material w/ the name "Arc" too, lol. You have to have the "Playstation Eye" and this controller to make it work. The eye uses it's camera to pick up the ball on the stick, which is how it tracks movement as opposed to the wii-mote's IR sensor. It also has doo-hicky's inside for motion sensing. (not sure what yet ) Sony is going to release a bundle that includes the "Eye," the "Move" controller, the sub-controller (nun-chuck), and a game (PS3 Sports?) for around $100. There will also be bundles that include all that and a PS3. here are some articles and pics: http://www.joystiq.com/tag/playstation-move/note the Socom 4 post we have our first announced shooter using the new Sony dildo Move!

haha it looks gey. Plus it costs like 100 bucks, who would spend 100 bucks just to get one of these damn things?
At least Sony was upfront in GDC about copying Nintendo. They straight up admitted that they copied Nintendo and now want to go after the casual audience. Their Move video reminded me of a typical Wii trailer.

IGN said it will come packaged with the first few games for 100 bucks. I'm guessing 60 dollars for the family game, 20 dollars for Move controller and 20 dollars for sub-controller aka nunchuck.
Eyetoy is 29.99 at its regular retail price according to walmart.com

I bet the controller costs more than that and the game is cheaper. but, doesn't really matter. I just want to try it out and see if it works as well as the wii-mote. I assume it will work as well as or better

"We tried several games using the main Move controller (see the video above), and the experience was generally very close to what we're used to from the Nintendo Wii, albeit with a much greater sense of precision--even better than using the Wii Motion Plus. There was much less of the jittery movement to the onscreen cursor we're used to from the Wii." http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10467552-1.html?tag=TOCmoreStories.0

Yeah I think I would feel like less of an ass using the Wii remote but I agree that the button placement is way better than Nintendos setup. I cant wait. Its also cool that you will have the option to go traditional dual analog or motion control. FPS= motion, racing=analog (or race wheel if I ever get it).
