New Call of Duty To Debut This FridayTreyarch project comes to light this week. by Jim Reilly April 28, 2010 - What has developer Treyarch been cooking up the past two years? Looks like we'll get to find out this Friday as GameTrailers TV will air the first teaser trailer of the next Call of Duty game. Not much is known about the title. Rumors and speculation point to the series shifting to Vietnam this time around, leaving the World War II setting in the past. So far, Activision has only confirmed Treyarch is developing a new Call of Duty and that it will be released this calendar year. GameTrailers TV airs Friday at 12:40 AM EST on Spike. source: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/108/1086612p1.html

I'd bet that it WOULD be on the Wii. MWR has just about sold 1 million copies of a game that came out years ago and has actually already had a sequel (MW2). CoD: World at War was also a million seller. Aside from that, Treyarch is developing the game and they are the ones that actually like the Wii.
My bet is that it will be on the Wii.
What should we bet?

I'm not about to bet because I know treyarch will try. But if they do it, it will only be because they decided to just use the old engine they used for WaW and slap some new maps and models in it. I highly doubt it will be a ground up like the other consoles will get though.

It definitely will be on the Wii. If it's not on the Wii then I will buy a PS3 by the end of the year. That's how confident I am.

You both read my mind. It won't be anything innovative IMO. Just different maps, looks, and weapons with the same lag and lawn mower noises from pushing the wii's limits.

Stop hating Karter. My Wii doesn't make lawn mower noises. Maybe you just need to clean your damn Wii or something.
It seems like we are getting two FPS games this year which might be good. Conduit 2 and this new Call Of Duty game.

I agree fully. It probably is not worth creating a ground up engine that will work with the technical limitations of the Wii. I do believe that it will be a port on that same engine. It might not be the best thing but I really appreciate Treyarch at least trying to give Wii owners something fun to play. Other companies just ignore the Wii altogether.

I didn't read that post.
Yeah, Wii sounds like a lawn mower. Mine actually doesn't but my brother in law's does. Its really loud too. Just like a lawn mower. Its that or he must have bought a lawn mowing video game simulator with full motion controls. Im sure using the weed eater is pretty fun.

yeah I agree. My wii will sometimes sound like a lawn mower. It is usually when it is working hard. It doesn't always do it on CoD (either version) but I noticed it ALWAYS does it when I am host. Being host must make that little machine work harder than a midget in the high jump.

LOL Zenas.
Yeah I hate being host. Everything gets royally choppy and objects get drawn on my screen AFTER I have already passed by them. Its very bad for me because that kind of stuff happens even when I'm not hosting. Its just that much worse. And yes, I can definitely hear the Wii trying to pump out more than it can handle.
