I know haven't posted in a while, but I was wondering if anyone here could help me with this problem.

I own a Samsung LCD HDTV.

here is the model: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN22A330-22-Inch-720p-HDTV/dp/B00141AZ0O

The input lag when I play MWR is unbearable; I'm using the regular composite cables with this LCD HDTV. The controls aren't responsive enough and the turning with the wiimote feels sluggish. I did some research (googling), and I read that Wii Component cable may reduce the input lag. I also read that using a VGA cable may solve the problem as well. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this? Is there any difference in the input lag when using component, composite, and vga cables?

thanks

well I use the Psycho Component cable with my samsung HDTV and I get no input lag at all.

There should be a setting in the wii or the game (I forget) to calibrate for an HDTV (since hdtv lag is common).

But I would just suggest getting component cables as your first solution because you'll want those anyway with an HDTV so that you get true widescreen with 480p.  Otherwise you get a stretched screen or black bars.

Thanks for the reply Ohio. Afro

I'll probably pick up some component cables off of ebay for a good price.

the components do make a noticeable difference. the wii looks terrible on a big hdtv w/ out them. they are worth the cheap price

theres an adjustment for games in the settings menu on your tv...
it will help a little with the lag but there will always be some degree of lag no matter what you do, its just how lcd hdtv's are made...
i prefer an older style tube tv for zero lag...
the cables will help with picture but not much for lag...
