Well I was reading the nintendo minute on IGN. It was about them being worried about Microsoft and Sony trying to appeal to the casual crowd as well. Everything except for 1 quote went through one ear and out the other. This is the quote "Games like Ubisoft's Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party or Shaun White Snowboarding have appeal across the spectrum of players and are good examples of games that can help us continue to break down the barriers between core and casual." If they are trying to put us into one giant group, then either we or Nintendo are going to be in big trouble. Discuss.

the first rayman rabbids was actually fun to play with friends around. i would rent it when friends came to town to hang out and even though they don't play video games, they loved it. it was one of the first games i played on wii w/ other people and we had a blast. my buddy and i actually stayed up till like 5 in the morning with case of beer and that game and it was freakin hilarious.
i rented the second one too and it kinda sucked. I don't really know why, it just wasn't as fun as the first.
i don't know about the whole "one big group" thing but there is a place for the casual crowd in the marketplace. the wii sales attest to that. I just pray that the increased sales due to casual newcomers don't keep watering down the games like it did at the wii's release. the new CoD has given me a little hope but i wanna see Nintendo competing w/ PS360 in the future w/ better hardware and graphics. not w/ one-time buyer bloated sales to the casual crowd. we need more "core" games along w/ all the casual crap so nintendo can stay on top.
