Gravity shouldn't matter because then there is too much timing involved. It should be quick-snap-and-shoot always. You shouldn't have to predict where you're shooting your gun. Just where you're throwing your knives and launching your grenades. CoD does it right.

And PS358... LOLWAT. BC2 is WAY more realistic, lmao. (A bad thing) The only games that should be realistic are ones like Heavy Rain.

well its a bad thing for you not me. I like the challenge. I dont mind calculating the other persons position at all. Its not like lag where it varies between everyones connection. Its all calculated for you. I mean, a recon sniper takes his position and keeps an eye on the field. When he sees a high value target he takes him out when the opportunity is right. He doesnt run out there using some kind of computer assisted scope to aim for him and press the trigger. A real sniper that goes out and tries to no-scope his way through the battle field is stupid.

but yeah like you said, its all just the amount of realism. You cant say its a bad thing though because a lot of us surly appreciate a challenge in games we play.

1. Realism =/= challenge

If it does purely mean that's challenging, then you're saying quickscoping isn't? It's all luck? >_>

"A real sniper that goes out and tries to no-scope his way through the battle field is stupid. "

If you can say that, I can say "Having to take your time and aim higher than the target is stupid."

It's opinion.  Lips Sealed

Accounting for realism (BC2's gravity) means you need skill to play. I like using skill to play, that's what's good about the game. CoD=no skill. That's why it sucks.

Realism or not, I enjoy this game a whole bunch.  And yes it can be frustrating at times, but once you get the hang of it, it's not such a big deal.

More than anything, I think this game has a good pace for me.  And the fact that everything can be blown up makes it more fun.  Planting C4 on a tank, then blowing it up as the other guys jump out realizing what's about to happen, then watching them fly in all directions.  Twisted, but I love it!

CoD = no skill. Alright.

Let's see you go positive quickscoping only in SnD first try.

Do it!  Lips Sealed

no you literally cannot say that a sniper is stupid for having to aim compensate for bullet arch because THAT IS WHAT A REAL SNIPER DOES! What he DOES NOT do is aim for the head when he is a mile away and HE DOES not run around trying to no scope people.

And yes, "quick scoping" is a heck of a lot easier to do and requires a loooooooooooooooot less skill. All you do is aim near the target and the aimbot does the rest. That is not realism. Realism is aiming at the target ALL ON YOUR OWN which requires a lot more skill. Its like a car. Driving automatic transmission takes way less skill than driving a manual because you cant just step on the gas or the break.

Furthermore, it could be said that if you run around with a sniper rifle quickscoping then you really arent sniping. So the people that run around in mw2 with sniper rifles are not really snipers. Here is Wikipedia:

"A sniper is a highly trained marksman  who shoots targets from concealed positions or distances exceeding the capabilities of regular personnel. Snipers typically have specialized training and distinct high-precision rifles.

In addition to marksmanship, military snipers are also trained in camouflage, field craft, infiltration, reconnaissance and observation.[1] Snipers are especially effective when deployed within the urban terrain of urban warfare, or jungle terrain of jungle warfare."

where does it say a sniper runs around quick scoping? If a sniper does that it is called stupid.

I don't consider myself a sniper.

Everytime I tell people how I play I say "a rushing sniper".

That's how I define myself, I'm sure others do too.

and LOL at an aimbot doing the rest after you AIM?

WHAT?!  Cheesy

i said you aim in the general area. In other words, you point the gun in his general area and then hit the aimbot button and it does the rest.

a rushing sniper is an oxymoron. like true lies.

you are not a rushing sniper you are just a regular dude with a sniper rifle.

Personally, I like having to actually aim like a real sniper would.  In CoD, all you need to do is scope in and shoot, and if you're near the target you'll get the kill.  In BC2, you have to find the target, adjust your position, adjust your aim, and fire; because, if you miss, that other sniper is going to see your shot and kill you while you're aiming again.

To me, that's fun.  I don't like MW2's idea of sniping at all.

I don't get where this idea of 'just being close' gets you the kill... you have to actually hit them... and you still have to lead shots in MW2, you don't shoot directly at them if they're running.

But, I am a rushing sniper. I rush at the beginning to the middle of the map and fight people close quarters / medium quarters. I don't sit back in my spawn.

Ok? I'd rather play the fun way then be technically called 'a sniper'

I've only done a couple of no-scopes in BC2, i got lucky.  More like I pulled the trigger and hit the guy. it's pretty frustrating when it happens to me too.
