Why does everyone keep saying they aren't getting this because it has auto lock?  Has that been confirmed for Multiplayer?  It seems to me that there is no way we would know this early if it is in multiplayer and I highly doubt it is.

I mean tons of games have an auto lock feature (MoH:H2, MP3) for campaign and it is disabled for multiplayer.  I would assume this game is the same.  So why is everyone so worried and calling this a noob game?

Or did I miss some official announcement on the subject?

yes in campaign MoHH2 had auto lock and since the context was campaign, mp3 did too.  My point was that I have heard people complain about auto lock in this game and call it a noob game and have even said they may not buy it because of it.  But I highly doubt multiplayer would have auto lock and that it will most likely just be for campaign (like the other games I mentioned).

Well QoS has a camera-lock which also works online. Although it's more annoying than helpful due to stealing freedom from you. I have more troubles getting headshots when locking anyway. CoD5 also has a camera lock, but ok i don't know if that one also works in multiplayer. Tongue

camera lock or auto lock?  I think they are two different things, right?  auto lock locks the aiming reticle on the target whereas camera lock just freezes the camera view not actually locks your aim on the target regardless of where it moves.

Might be. QoS kinda does both things to a degree like it actually boxes your target, and it is kinda working towards that box so aiming outside of it is pretty hard (opposite recoil? Tongue), but not undoable. I know because a few times in single player i'd end up locking the wrong target and went for the other first anyway Tongue

Have to correct myself, i just tried you can't aim outside of the box when locking. Maybe it depends on range then because i'm quite sure i've locked one target and aimed at another before...
