I am that's who.... I have a good friend who had a load of skymiles that she needed to use up before the expired and asked me to pick out something... Yeah,,, PS3 bundle was one of the choices !!! It's the 120 GB console but it comes with 2 controllers, a blue-ray remote, 1 movie and 1 game (E) rated.... Is the 120 GB a good console? Why / Why Not? Will the Move work with this console? What accessories do I need to get for it? What game's should I get for it? Why? I should be getting it in the next couple weeks so look out June,, I will be killing you here now too... Last Question,,, Is Pip cheating on the PS3 too? Looking forward to playing with some of my old bro's again.. LT, I'll need some helpful hints from you.....

wow man thats a damn good friend right there.
very nice package, I bought the bluray remote when I bought the ps3 because I knew I would be watching tons of movies and didn't want to use the controller, one thing about the remote is that its blutooth so you could have it in the other room and bump a button on the controller and it will stop the movie, just a heads up because its annoying.
Get Battlefield Bad Company 2, tons of us on wiiunite got it and its tons of fun. If you tell me what type of games you like I could help more
Yes the move will work with it. You need the move package that comes with a game the webcam and the move wand for $100 and if you are really feeling cool then you need to pick up the navigation controller for $30 although you won't need it until they start coming out with there move fps's and what not. you can also substitute the navigation controller by using the left analog stick on the six axis controller but to me that sounds difficult to do for a long time with one hand

Oh friggin awesome! Its about time Ratdork! It was nice being away from your nasty smelling self but I guess I can bring the gas mask back out Anyway, the 120 gig is absolutely fine. I have the same one. You'll be getting an extra controller and game though which is great. Anyway, the only thing that seems to be missing from your list are a bluetooth headset (which if you have one that you use for your phone you are set) and an hdmi cable. The hdmi cables were supposed to start being included in the ps3 packages themselves so you might verify if you are getting it included or not. If not, simply go buy a 20 or 25 dollar one at walmart or something. After that you just hook it up and it has to download the most recent firmware or whatever it is. As for the game everyone has right now, Battlefield Bad Company 2 is keeping everyone occupied. Its a very, very different experience. The one thing you might not like is the language. Even online there are nice colorful works of speech. My favorite, "Fudge me theres a sniper out there!!!!" As far as PS Move, early adoption is very sluggish at this point. Only a few games will be available at launch and maybe two fps games soon after release. There will be more games down the line but we will have to wait. The good thing is that you can avoid buying all three pieces together. You will need the ps eyetoy or camera that will keep track of the wands movements and also the navigation stick (nunchuck). As far as performance goes, most reviewers have indicated it outperforms even the wii remote with wii motion plus. The technology is sound and does a great job. We are just waiting on games.

Good info Dave,,, I like the FPS games and (I know that this is Nintendo) Games like Mario Kart,,, I have a couple of son's that will want to play together.. Both are teenagers and they like the star wars type games.. Thanks bro... LT, I knew I would get your nostrils flaring when you smelled what the Rat was cookin... I'll probably pick up the BC2 game first and give you a yell,,, Maybe get you to Skype with me to show me a few things so I don't go into the game as a total noob,, Semi noob will be ok though.. So the blue-tooth headset, I assume this game works like a Skype set up but you get everyone on the game? Will the sound only come thru the headset if I have one or will it be stinking up my living room with Pip's crying?

Congrats ratty. There is a kart racing game called Modnation. Youtube it me and my son play it together sometimes. Its fully customize able and entertaining. The headset just syncs with the ps3 and if you have it connected then the chat only comes through the headset. If its off then you can hear things through the tv. You can also turn chat off and onlk hear the game sounds if its a problem. Looking forward to some games.

Good Info K thanks, I'll check that out on the YouTube... I'll add you Sniper once I get it,,, It will prolly be a couple weeks for shipping but hopfully I can get it hooked up and going once it comes in. As soon as my friend receives it and hands it off to me, I'll be like a running back headed to the goal line,,, well, I will need to stop off and pick up a game and probably some cable on my way to score though.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
Seriously, Rat, this just made my day!!!!
I will be happy to let you kill me. Get BC2 (because I said so) and a bluetooth headset.
(** BC2 has quite a bit of bad language in it, I just play with the sound low/off. Just a fair warning that I did NOT get! )

alright! I'm not gonna repeat what was said, becuase it's all true. I have the 120GB; blu-ray remote and use my extra cell phone earpiece to talk. Battlefield is the game we've been playing together, plus there is a new expansion pack coming out this winter. As K said, Modnation Racers is kart racing. There are downloadable demos of many games, so you can do that first before buying. GranTursimso 5 comes out November 2, that game has gotten quite a bit of attention around here too. I just bought a racing wheel too. doh! As for being a noob, just get the game, get a headset and we'll talk you through. There is a steep learning curve for those of us just transitioning from the wii (Especially the over 35 crowd ) It's all fun though. Oh, and don't forget to watch the video, 'How Not to Be a Noob' in the BC2 section

nice! what they didn't tell you is that when you get BC2, make sure and get a new copy and not a used one. you can get the game new for $40 now at Best Buy for sure (I think it's $40 everywhere but I don't know). BC2 has this VIP code that you get w/ a new copy that allows you to download a bunch more multiplayer maps for free. If you buy it used you will have to pay $15 dollars for a VIP code if you wanna play all the maps w/ us. They just released a Ultimate Edition (I think that's what it was called) of the game that includes the VIP code, the limited edition extra guns, and a copy of Battlefield 1943 (also a great online game from the same series). This holiday season they are releasing a new set of maps as downloadable content called Battlefield Vietnam that is an expansion of BC2. It will be 4 new maps (all era specific locations, weapons and vehicles) that will be new to the game and very different from the current game modes. Basically, just pick up either a new copy for $40 (make sure it has the VIP code) or even get the Ultimate Edition if you want for $60 and get a bluetooth headset and you'll be good to go. We'll squad up with you and walk you through the rest. Also, don't expect to just turn on your PS3 and start playing online when you get it set up finally. You're gonna have to wait a while to download the current updates and what not and set up your ps3. I would suggest plugging the PS3 directly into your router instead of using wifi cuz it's a lot faster w/ a wire than wireless. The PS3 maxes out at wireless G so it takes a long time to download stuff w/ a wireless connection.
