Most of these are at least a year old, but are some of my favorite photos I've taken.  Enjoy.  Smiley

Not sure where to start, so we'll go with animals:

Denali.  She's a 2 year old Siberian husky.  She's really not as mean as she looks in the photo, but she does enjoy chewing on cases to bad video games.  Also loves to have her picture taken, so expect more of her.

Detroit.  My mom's cat, about 8 years old now.  Found him as a stray when I was in highschool.  He does not like to have his picture taken, if you can't tell.

Uhhh... nature?

Taken on a camera that recorded the images to a floppy disk.  That was badass at the time.

I voted not to post any of people I know, but I love this one.  This is my nephew (2 years old at the time).  I loved how I caught him in midair, and the fact that he looks like he's just running out alone into the choppy water.

These 2 were taken on a disposal camera about 8 years ago.  Scanned.

(Not sure if you're done posting yet)

This is so cool that you got around to posting these! :> I wasn't sure you would, sometimes people promise to but then can't be bothered lol.

And these are gorgeous! I swear that dog is staring into my very soul, I'll have to bribe her not to reveal my dirty, dirty secrets, lol.
I know nothing about photography, but I guess it's kinda like hunting, you have to know when to shoot and when not to. That's how you catch people in mid air, right? :>

Love your stuff Val. <3

Val, you're gonna have to teach me about ISO, shutter speeds, etc... some time. I have one of these:

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_pro_series/powershot_g10

... and I don't even know how to use it right. It does so much cool stuff but I don't know anything about photography. I've got like 40gb of really high def crappy pics, lol.

Thanks, guys.  Cheesy

Camper, I love what you said about my dog.  I've always felt the same way about her; she's got these striking blue eyes that pierce your soul.  And I love the "hunting" interpretation.  That's perfect.  You really have to get a feel for the moment and sort of be one step ahead of it.  Also like hunting, sometimes you have to put yourself in odd physical positions too.  Like for this pic below, I was lying on the ground in the city of Chicago in order to get the entire building and the street sign.  YUM.

(SEARS Tower.  Fruck you Willis Tower.  Photo taken on... I forget.  And old ass camera, and then scanned.)

Lak, that is a sexy camera.  I can haz it?  ^.^  lol  I've got some suggestions/tips/ideas for you if you're interested.  I'm not a pro or anything, but I think that might be better for you as I won't use language that's over your head.  Smiley

June & IBU, thank you for the compliments, and I'm heading over to check out yours now! Cheesy

Lol yes, my dad was a photographer and I remember seeing him doing weird stuff in order to get the right angle sometimes.
I imagine it's a little easier these days with digital cameras, I mean, using film and having no idea how the picture will turn out must be a b*tch? Right?  Have you abandoned film completely or do you still do it old school?

I never use film anymore.  It's too expensive and inconvenient.  Plus, the instant gratification is addicting.

How so?  I don't understand the difference.  I think my last painting was the finger-type in kindergarten.

Enlighten me?

Acrylics dry fast, like, while you're painting. "Instant gratification" as you said. I'm impatient, when I want something I want it yesterday. D:
