Can you take pictures of the same thing at the best quality setting for both cams or whatever so we can see the diff?

My grandma got a digital camera this year, too. There is something super funny about watching an 80 year old woman trying to figure out how to take pictures! She was using the disposable ones for the longest time.

I look forward to the new photos! I can't wait until spring to get some more on my camera. Too cold in winter, brrr.

Santa brought me the Sony HX1.  http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonydschx1/

It's not as cool as Lakkus's's's's camera, but I wanted something simple.  Plus, it's Sony.  <3

LT, I can take the same photo with different settings, but I can't compare them to my other camera as the old one doesn't work properly.  It'll take photos just fine (well, sorta... sometimes it gives me issues...)  I just can't get them off of the camera no matter what method I use.  So.  Yeah.  But I can post samples of different settings so you can see the difference.

Besides, I don't always believe photos are as good as the equipment.  Some of my favorite photos are taken on shirty cameras.  Like this one.  This was taken on my cell phone....

June, I totally know what you mean!  My grandma was the same way, using disposable ones allllll the time.  Then watching her with a digital one is hilarious.  She would *jump* when she'd hit the shutter button and the flash went off.  "So how do I.... *click*  OOH!  Oh my... "  LOL

nice, glad you got a new toy Val.  Smiley

have you tried the photo mode in GT5 yet? you might like it, check it out. If you want to I would love you to take some cool photos of some of my cars for my profile. That way, you can borrow some of my sweet rides for a few days and see what the really good cars are like. The photo mode is really complicated to me and I can't get the pics to come out the way I want all the time.

I have not even heard such a thing about a photo mode in GT5.  That looks flipping awesome! Cheesy Cheesy

I would love love love to take photos of your cars.  And then crash them.  Then take photos of the damage.  <3  It's artsy!  Wink

Really though, let's do this.

Hey Val, I thought you might like a new find of mine. It is called radiography..... perhaps you have heard of it. Anyway, I found this calendar and thought it was so neat! I don't like to hang conventional things on my wall (and I get pretty sick of stuff pretty easily) so I cut apart this calendar, mounted the pictures on thicker paper, and placed them on my wall. I change the pictures/calendars I use about once a year... so I don't get bored. Anyway... this is the radiography:

http://www.calendars.com/Flower-Art/Flower-Spirits-2011-Wall-Calendar/prod1289469/?categoryId=cat440038&cm_vc=PDPZ1&navCount=1&related=PDPZ1#0

It is like you are seeing through the flowers. I think they are very beautiful, whimsical, and feminine. Wink

Glad you liked it! Yes, it is very fitting! I'm sure that camera was quite pricey, too. I'm not sure my PowerShot could handle it, haha.

PowerShots are great cameras.  I have a thing for Sony, but if I were to get a camera of a different brand, it'd be Canon.   Afro
