So, I'm thinking of getting it. Is it fun? seriously. Now, I still haven't finished Uncharted 2 and have only played GOW III for about 10 min. I'm more about online gaming vs. Leveling up and completing challenges. That being said, I do have the racing wheel and would love to play GT5, but not sure about dropping the $60 on it. Some pros and cons please.
P.S. I will probably get it, so maybe focus on the things you guys really like about it.
shake and bake baby!

lots of cool cars lots of different tracks so much fun with the wheel ( I have the same one as you) and the horn works! go karts r lots of fun rally cars r lots of fun nascar cars r lots of fun weather effects look and feel amazing enough different events to keep you busy forever its lots of fun to tune up cars and get them to insane amount of hp make your own tracks and upload them online for people to race on the premium cockpit views combined with using the wheel is amazing the head tracking is pretty cool and a unique feature
I haven't tried online yet and I will tell you I'm an online type of guy myself but have been having alot of fun just doing the events , so I hope that tells you something, I heard the online is real good though.
If you r into arcade racers then stay away from this game because IMO it can be very hard and very realistic to how cars should really handle at certain speeds and terrains
I would post more if I could but I have only had it 2 days
Bottom line is you have invested in a great wheel and that makes this a must buy.

I'm more of an online guy myself but I've found that gt5s single player has been perfectly adequate for now. While it does get a bit grindy at higher levels theres enough fun to be had trying out different cars.
Amount if precision and knowing you could always do better keeps me from getting bored. Cockpits are awesome and the graphics are pretty but honestly you won't really notice it flying at 200mph. Aside from photo mode (awesome btw) you won't notice the less than stellar cars.
I love trying to tune cars... gt4 but better

I've got a Logitech Driving Force GT, but I bought it for $79.99 about a month or two ago. Logitech was running a 'broken box' special. There wasn't anything wrong with it when it arrived; it was brand new, unopened, and the box was perfect.

I got mine for 99.99 at gamestop, I always see them on sale for that price there, I highly recommend it, also if you get a wheel gt5 is the game to get with one, I have burnout paradise, had grid and dirt and there is alot of tweaking involved to get the wheel to work just decent with those games

The fanatec wheels are supposed to have some of the best wheels and pedals for FF, I haven't tried it personally but have heard nothing but praise for them. I myself have the driving force pro, got it a few years ago for like $70 at best buy. The GFGT looks like it runs on the same kind of system as mine but with updated ps3-friendly controls.

Looks like we'll need a gt5 forum pretty soon. If you need any cars just ask lakk . You know or me.. if you really have to

Thanks. It's pretty cool, but of course I just barely scratched the surface (no pun intended, ha ha). There is a lot to do/understand when it comes to customizing everything.
