I was on 4chan and there was a supposed DICE developer there asking what they didn't like from BC2. I didn't believe him but the thread turned out to be pretty good. There were a lot of legitimate issues that were brought up.
I will list all that I can remember and you guys can just add to the list.
-Tracer darts are way too slow. Hard to stick on strafing choppers. -Choppers are too powerful and hard to bring down. Needs balance. -Choppers too easy to pilot. Need to be higher level to pilot. -Shouldn't be able to steal choppers. Perhaps only one specific class can be able to pilot the other chopper but not anyone. -Only certain classes should pilot certain vehicles. (Why would a recon be piloting anything?) -Snipers need to be limited in numbers. -Medics shouldn't be God -Movement is too slow even at highest sensitivity. -Point blank RPG is male cattle dung. RPG's and grenades activate after 3 seconds so point blank blasts couldn't happen. -Laser trace for air strikes. (For tanks and also to make it harder for camping wookies) -Prone is good -Better servers -Shouldn't have to wait until game loads to exit. -Medics shouldn't be God -Create parties more easily. -Night time levels with functioning night vision goggles. -Knife needs to work. -Knife should be equipped and not available unless equipped as equipment. -Maps are too small. Need to be bigger. (Heavy Metal was highly praised by the BF veterans) -Higher player count. -Sprint and look sideways. -Shouldn't get stuck on grain of sand (or get stuck on the steps of a doorway if entered through an angle!). -MEDICS SHOULD NOT BE GOD
These were the ones I could remember. There were plenty more though. Add on guys.

I kind of just smimed (wing) through so I'll just list my gripes. Medics shouldn't be God!! Knife needs to work. Any AR/SMG/LMG range should be toned down to not be as deadly accurate as a sniper rifle. Srsly WTF! That a hole should not have killed me from across the map with a SAW in less than 10 bullets!  With regards to limited recons, I'd say maybe limit the ammount of rifle wielders, because some use shotties and some use rifles. Both are effective in their own sense. I'm against not allowing an enemy to steal choppers. If you don't like them coming into your base and stealing it then you should defend it better. I probably have more so I'll get back later with them.

Nope, I'm in line with the choppers. Your team could be the best ever and have all the flags captured so they won't be concentrating on the base. 2 enemy choppers can easily change the game.
Also, fix the damn shotguns. It's ridiculous now that EEEEEEEVERYONE is running the SAIGA or USAS. I mean, come on now. They can kill you at distance faster than the sniper rifles which is just B.S.
Sniper rifles need to be un-nerfed. An M-95 that can't kill anyone from up close? B.S.

You're right, your team could be the "best" ever and still lose the chopper. Why? Because no-one is smart enough to either grab it first, or C-4 trap it. Your team could be the crappiest ever and have ONE smart player that could prevent the chopper from being touched. CWUTIDIDTHAR

Like that always works...
They gather in numbers at the camp area and shoot anyone that comes near it so you can't c-4 it or grab it first. If you do get it first, their chopper or an engineer is always around to blow you up as you take off. Then they just wait for you and the chopper to spawn, kill you, take the chopper.

Yes...in the case of being spawn trapped. But you gave the scenario of having all flags captured. In this case don't spawn at the base and make them work to kill you via chopper. That's why its important to look at the map in between spawns. You can see where the choppers are at and spawn away from them.

Okay, and now we're back to my original point. They have both choppers and are raping everything that moves. You might have all the bases but it wont be long until everyone concentrates all their firepower on that death star and your flags start dropping.
Sure, its not a big deal if everyone was a noob at flying choppers but the fact is, a lot of people are awesome at it and continually play the chopper maps and ****.

I agree with maybe half of that stuff. A lot of it is whining by people who obviously can't pilot choppers, can't shoot choppers down, etc... If they steal your chopper, shoot it down with any number of weapons around you. If there are too many wookies that just means you can capture everything easier. I think the shotgun sniping is BS. I think the M95 should be strong (it's a **** canon IRL basically so why nerf it?). The knife should work better but I don't think it should have to be equipped, that's just kechua. You shouldn't get knifed much if you are moving around. Campers get knifed and should get knifed. I don't like sneaking up on someone and missing my knife kill only too have their nooby ass turn around and kill me cuz my knife didn't work.  I hope they don't listen to the people that suck at this game. I have faith they won't cuz Dice seems to have a good understanding of what multi-player should be all about.

You must be new at this game. yes, I'm very new to this game. I have no clue what I'm talking about. >_> I've done it so many times. I'm not doubting that at all. I'm sure you're aware that at any given moment that when approaching their chopper you could have either been shot or C-4'd, right? Being able to steal the other chopper is a bad thing. ...For teams that don't know how to defend, yes. 2 good pilots easily change the game. ...if allowed, yes they can, but there are means to taking them out, sneaking away from them, staying out of their view, etc...............

thats all going under the premise that people know how to defend which they don't. How do I know? Because once two good pilots get in there **** always hits the fan.
Sure, you and I know exactly how to handle the situation but obviously most players don't and in a team game that makes all the difference.
And Lakk, yes there are many ways to take choppers down. The easiest being the AA gun. The thing is, every good pilot knows to take them out at first chance. Now you're left with darts but those are pretty useless. Even if you do take them out they'll just get it again. You could rehears different ways to avoid it all day long and even plan it but the thing is, random players wont do ****.

I haven't played the larger modes as much so choppers not really an issue with me...having a specialist or pilot class seems more complicated tho....I think chopper armor should be lessened and better homing rockets that don't fizzle out like Indian fireworks should be added. I think the Recon class needs to be adjusted...shotties or any other weapon beyond sniper rifle & pistol shouldn't be available...if they're gonna leave motion balls in..they should take shotties out...to many Recon players are now shotty only RnG gamers...I do it...& I kno everyone else has too.... I agree about the gun ranges....something like Vietnam should be done...where LMG's & SMG's can't be equipped with long range scopes...maybe red-dot only...with the UMP-45 + 4x scope I can easily snipe from half-way across the map... I don't know if I'd change the squad size...but I would add the option to full team chat or squad team chat only...with the ability to toggle mute other players not in ur squad...that way if you have more than 4 friends playing..you can at least hear them all the time. I think the knife should stay as standard equipment...no one player has ever won the game simply by knifing...it can be frustrating at times but I don't think it's a game changer. Agree bout the getting stuck on stuff...happens to me all the time...friggin' military boot laces...they should just go to velcro
