MOH did play like a COD clone...gone were destructible environments and large scale maps. Player movement and speed seemed increased...so I guess that BF3 will be like that but hopefully keep the other things that made BC2 more realistic.

I hope not. Dice has always kind of prided itself on being different and the battlefield series is a well established and defined game world. I don't think it will be anything like CoD. BC2 is the less realistic and cheesier version of the game. BF3 should be even more realistic and serious than BC2. I'm expecting epic awesomesauce and will be pretty disappointed if BF3 turns out to be a turd... and it better have Move support!

The only Turd that will be related to this game is the one that will be dominating it.  Azn Don't you worry, Lakk.

I never played any other BF games; but what do you mean by cheeziness of BC2? Compared to the other Battlefield games. I'm not attacking your statement btw, I'm just wanting some clarification. Do you mean the voiceovers? They are pretty entertaining.

BF is known for it's "mature" nature and audience.  When BC1 came out, it was about the AWOL squad that were badasses and talked like teenagers.  It carried over to BC2 where-as BF1943 for example would probably be considered boring by pre teens and teens because the dialogue is minimal and doesn't curse or have a joking nature to it.

ah....so having the guy say "want some of this" is cheesy??  Undecided

but yeah bout the rag tag 4 man squad for the story part...the Danny Glover-esque Black Sgt who's "too old for this ****"....gag never tires.....

I think the cheese factor is by having that gomer of a medic in the MP...that guy reminds me of a fatter version of the bald nazi that Harrison Ford put up dukes with in the 1st Indiana Jones....

maybe cheesy was the wrong word. BC1,2 were not typical of the Battlefield series. They are less serious and more comical/silly as far as story... from what I've read. I never played anything but BC2 and BF1943 either.

CoD has team work.   Embarrassed

inb4fanboiflame

really? you must have played a different CoD than I did...

I played MW2.  I play with a party of friends in SnD.  It is a little different than playing by yourself in a reg TDM.

I will admit there is little teamwork in CoD...but we're the small percentage that uses teamwork.

yeah, I guess maybe you have to work as a team to win the match in SnD.

But, in BF, what I'm talking about is the whole team (16 per side) has to work together in squads of 4 toward a common goal to achieve an objective. I play Rush mode almost exclusively and if your team mates are running around doing there own thing and not trying to either protect or destroy the objective, you'll lose the round 90% of the time. Sometimes, a really good squad of 4 can effectively rule the match if there isn't another squad on the other team to stop them, but that doesn't happen often. When I play with some of the really 1337 players I know, we steam roll over the other team almost every time. (I'm usually the weak link in the squad  Embarrassed ). Hell, us WU players are usually good enough to decide the matches when we play together cuz we're all pretty good IMO.... except for Handy.

Point is, CoD is not made with a team work mind set. It's mostly a contest to see which individual can get the highest amount of kills/score...

Battlefield is about working together and achieving a common goal. you always lose the match if your team plays like a bunch of CoD players.

Battlefield wins for strategy
CoD wins for quick skill-less killing (in 90% of cases)

Battlefield destroyable environments <3

I'll give COD the nod for player movement...things move a lot faster in COD

Most everything else I like BC2 better.
-Maps
-Vehicles
-destroyable environments
-no perks
-no streaks
-dogtags
...etc

-dogtags

I love dogtags. That is the single best kill award ever introduced to anything ever.

Also, I completely agree about the movement. CoD has the best controls I've played with in a FPS.
