gamesharing is basically a way for people to "share" their PSN accounts. you are allowed to use your PSN on up to 5 other PS3's cuz some people have multiple PS3's and want to use the same account. if you gameshare with a friend you can just log into their account and then download anything they have paid for on the PS Store. so, it allows 5 people to "share" DLC when only one person has actually paid for it. but, you can only gameshare 5 times so you have to choose who you share with carefully. you don't wanna just let anyone onto your account cuz they could just change your password and lock you out of your own PSN account, lol. I've only gameshared with two people so far and probably won't any more so I can keep my 3 other chances for if my PS3 breaks or if I get a second one or whatever. this is meant for people to use with their family or households or whatever... not really meant for people to "share" DLC but that's what most people end up using the option for.
