Jordan did just fine without teammates! As did Mikan, Petit, Dennis Johnson, Wes Unseld (kind of), and plenty others. LeBron can be the best player in the game when he wins something.

Did you seriously just say Jordan did fine without teammates?  Well, I guess Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman (a guy who won 6 league rebounding titles in a row), and Ron Harper weren't good or anything. Also Kerr who came in second in three point percentage in the season when the Bulls went 72-10. Nobody can win without a decent supporting cast, after Shaq left LA the Lakers sucked and Kobe was crying for a trade until they got Pau Gasol. Only player that I think could of and should of won MVP over Derrick Rose is Dwight Howard.

Look at the past champions and I guarantee not one just has one outstanding player and a few average random guys. Most have at least two allstars and at least two improving or top half of the league players. Why do you think the Spurs went on their run in the early 2000s. They had not one, but three really good players, Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili. Why do you think the Pistons won their championship in 04? They had allstars in Billups, Rasheed Wallace, and Rip Hamilton. They also had Ben Wallace which was a top of the league rebounder and Tayshaun Prince. Why do you think a great player like Charles Barkley never got a ring? He never had any allstar or close to being allstar teammates like Jordan did.

Unbelievable.

Thank you Baw, and I'm with you on Dwight Howard, offensive stud and one of the best defenders in the league.

Good job dude! There's 1 of the 5 people I named. 20% of the way there!!!

Lebron had Ilgauskus or however the **** you spell his name, a reliable big man, Mo Williams, an underrated point guard, not to mention Gibson, Ben Wallace, Delonte West, a good coach, and a ridiculous home court.

Really? Ilgauskas? Is that all you have? You can't compare him to any of the people Jordan played with. Mo Williams is a god awful point guard. Defense is crucial. Gibson rarely played, West is a nut job, Ben Wallace is old as ****, a coach is a coach, and home court non sense is bullshit. Lebron with Jordan's teammates would be absurd.

I can't compare them, true, and nobody can. Comparing today's players and yesterday's players is a pointless argument. So and so is better than so and so gets old.

Ilgauskus is decent off the bench for a couple of minutes when your starter is in foul trouble. Mo Williams is actually a very overrated point guard. Gibson and West? Bench players on any other team. West was playing the bench on the Celtics when they lost in 5 to the Heat. Ben Wallace hasn't been in his prime since the Pistons.

I don't know about the other players you mentioned but I doubt they won their championship without at least one other allstar on their team. All the players known to be the greatest to ever play the game, Jordan being the only one you named. (Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kobe, Larry Bird, Julius Erving) won championships because they had other allstars on their team.

@DDD: Dwight Howard was the only reason the Magic even made it to the playoffs this year, his supporting cast is horrible aside Nelson being decent when he wants to be.

I don't know why you're talking about all of these guys when they were/are on other teams. My point is that LeBron had a good enough cast to win a championship if he's the "best player in the game".

All of the guys I named had little to no supporting cast and won it practically by themselves. Look up the '79 Sonics... Dennis Johnson.

by the way I'm just now reading this. It doesn't matter how **** up in the head you are, if you're good you're good (Dennis Rodman, Mike Tyson, etc. etc. etc.). Ben Wallace was still good 4 years ago. He came off being the starting center for a dominant Eastern Conference team. A coach is a coach? Are you kidding me? Yeah, Phil Jackson or Paranoid71, makes no difference who your coach is right? And a good home court is huuuugge. The main reason the Warriors beat the Mavs in 07 was off of adrenaline from their home court alone.

"A coach is a coach" is probably the dumbest thing I've heard btw.
