I haven't been following Battlefield 3 but from what I've heard, console players are going to get smaller maps and 24 players while pc gamers get 64 players and gigantic maps. I'm not so sure any more if I'm getting this for the ps3  Undecided

I heard that, too.

I'll make up my mind when I play a demo.

I actually think that is fine. I think that really big maps are not suited for the consoles since it's limited to 24 players. Maps like Harvest day, Atacama desert and especially heavy metal are waaaaaaay too big and it means a lot less action. PC is able to support 64 so yeah, they need bigger maps or it would be too crowded.

It can work. Look at the smaller maps like Arica and Oasis. Small maps but a lot of action.

That's a good point.  My favorite map in BC2 is Cold War, and that's because of how intense the fighting is due to it being so small.  I could live with smaller maps.

I just thought of this. I remember hearing that jets would not be included in the console version but then I never read anything up on it. Could smaller maps mean that jets wont be needed?

32 player in the monastary and no one ever complained right? As LT says, most maps in BC2 are perfect and the smaller ones are more popular.  I have to admit though I like Harvest Day a lot.  Panama is one of my favorites too.

It feels weird paying for a game where another has so much more content on disk.

BF3 is now getting the "we can't include everything on the disc" feature that Wii always gets with PS3/360 games.  Huh?

Never thought of it like that. With a wii I always kind of expected it though, with a ps3 even if the graphics weren't on par with pcs we usually get very very similar games.
