ok, after starting a lame ritual of cutting internet to wii, PC, and unplugging the phone from the jack (all for a supposed better connection or even peace of mind), I tried playing once more to see if also changing my game play up a bit would help compensate for the crappy controls.
What I did/found out in changing things up was what I did in the beta to do well.
For TDM: (Pick Recon before the game starts) Before initial spawn or right upon spawning look at your map and try and find your squadmates and blues. IF they are spread out farther away from you like on the other side of the map for instance, then thats a good indicator that you're in the vicinity of the spawn point of a few enemies and that'll be their "side" of the map. (After a few kills the game will split the sides and each one will have it's own side to spawn safely from) You'll probably have to kill 1-2 guys at first but then you find a good obscure place and plant your spawn beacon. (If you fail and die then that's alright. You'll be put all the way on your own side of the map, but use your flank skills to ninja around to the other side. PLANT THAT BEACON and then attack from behind.) After dying (after the spawn beacon is planted) then you can switch to a class you're more comfortable with and **** face and your squad mates can do the same. THIS WORKS EVERY TIME!
10-31-11 (with no-one from friends list on either team; all randoms):
Wins - 9
Losses - 1
(one loss was by 2 points)
Kills to deaths:
Loss 13-9
Win 15-9
Win 10-10 (here's where I said it was time to go beacon happy)
Win 16-8
Win 11-11
Win 17-7
Win 10-8
Win 16-2
Win 17-10
Win 11-3
Those numbers aren't the most impressive, but compared to the last 3 times I played the game where I was going negative and lost too many to want to remember it was refreshing to know that my KDR/WLR were brought up to respectible numbers.
