I found that Rush is probably the best to get jet unlocks now...Play Rush on Kharg Island..spam select near the objectives and you can rack up points fast..Especially if you're Squad Leader and issue a command on one of the bombsites. Unlike Conquest it seems players don't care about the Jets so they won't bring out 10 Stingers to take you down.

All you'll have to worry about is the enemy Heli/Jet but you can easily avoid them by flying up above 400ft. If you're still being locked on after 400 feet it means the Air Support is locking onto you, NOT a soldier. A good way to avoid there lock on is to simply turn and brake hard then hit the accelerator. It'll give you a much sharper turn and if they're right on your tail it will break their lock on long enough to get some more Spot Bonus points from the ground. Tongue Unless the pilot is smart and slows down with you lol...then you just have to hope he overshoots you still.

Same thing Jabba said but it's a good way to tell if a ground soldier is locking on or a pilot. And DON'T use Flares until you see the "LOCK" thing as constant. If it's beeping then a missile hasn't be shot yet and the pilot/soldier is trying to bait you into using flares early. You fire flares when you see the solid/constant "LOCK" and hear like a high pitch beeping. This high pitch beeping tells you a missile has been fired.

So it goes like this: Locking on still=slow beep, Locked on=constant beep and solid LOCK message, Missiles being Fired at you= quick high pitch beep after solid LOCK beep.

Hope that's not too confusing lol...basically there are 3 types of Lock On warning beeps. When you fly the aircraft long enough, you will notice the 3rd high pitch beep from missiles incoming.
