btw, wth is a maunder?
He meant "marauder" I think. He as in me? It was my phone's auto text thing... Oh, haha. I didn't realize you wrote both messages that contained "maunder". I thought you were asking someone else what maunder meant when in fact it was just a mistyped/misused word. I don't usually pay attention to who is speaking unless it is really outrageous, lol.

If anyone ever finds any tip for killing with Jets, please tell. I can't kill or damage anything for the life of me...The yellow reticule always gets lost in the sky so it feels like I'm shooting blind sometimes...I've turned down my brightness hoping that would help but nothing. Tip for Helis and Heatseekers, after locking on and firing at a Heli/Jet, just swap to your normal rockets to shoot at tanks, by the time all of those 14 rockets are gone, the heatseekers are ready to be fired again. Sort of multi task with the rockets/heatseekers if you know the enemy heli won't take you out. Easy tip but it helps for being efficient while flying.

ok, after starting a lame ritual of cutting internet to wii, PC, and unplugging the phone from the jack (all for a supposed better connection or even peace of mind), I tried playing once more to see if also changing my game play up a bit would help compensate for the crappy controls. What I did/found out in changing things up was what I did in the beta to do well. For TDM: (Pick Recon before the game starts) Before initial spawn or right upon spawning look at your map and try and find your squadmates and blues. IF they are spread out farther away from you like on the other side of the map for instance, then thats a good indicator that you're in the vicinity of the spawn point of a few enemies and that'll be their "side" of the map. (After a few kills the game will split the sides and each one will have it's own side to spawn safely from) You'll probably have to kill 1-2 guys at first but then you find a good obscure place and plant your spawn beacon. (If you fail and die then that's alright. You'll be put all the way on your own side of the map, but use your flank skills to ninja around to the other side. PLANT THAT BEACON and then attack from behind.) After dying (after the spawn beacon is planted) then you can switch to a class you're more comfortable with and **** face and your squad mates can do the same. THIS WORKS EVERY TIME! 10-31-11 (with no-one from friends list on either team; all randoms): Wins - 9 Losses - 1 (one loss was by 2 points) Kills to deaths: Loss 13-9 Win 15-9 Win 10-10 (here's where I said it was time to go beacon happy) Win 16-8 Win 11-11 Win 17-7 Win 10-8 Win 16-2 Win 17-10 Win 11-3 Those numbers aren't the most impressive, but compared to the last 3 times I played the game where I was going negative and lost too many to want to remember it was refreshing to know that my KDR/WLR were brought up to respectible numbers.

Nah Lakk I didn't watch it, I just learned how to fly on my own...It's rather easy flying and staying alive once you have Stealth/Flares unlocked. My main problem before was the damn jet mini-gun was so hard to get kills with...I couldn't get any kills to unlock my Flares, which added to frustration because as soon as I'd hop in one, I'd fly up and be locked on to 6 different people running Stingers. -.-
This is still a problem but I have Stealth/Flares now, so I can avoid them no problem.
This is how I unlocked Flares: Caspian Border Conquest just fly to the middle of the map look up and hit the afterburners, at about 700ft(elevation is on the top right corner of your HUD) loop back down and as you peak your down turn, hit the Brakes and turn off Afterburners. This will slow you down and give you plenty of time to Spot the hell out of every flag.
It takes time but if you have trouble getting kills, this is the best way to do it.
Another Tip that helped me unlock Heatseekers: If an enemy jet gets hit by your mini-gun or a teammates Stinger, they will most likely jump out. Ram your damn jet into their unpiloted Jet that starts to free fall...You'll most likely destroy it and fly out alive...Giving you a +150 Vehicle Destroy/Disable. It helps to mini-gun it before hand so you know you won't suicide.

Night vision scope, INVR, I think is what it's called, is greata on Tehran Highway. If you haven't used it try it.

I guess my controller is just wearing out, but when I turn in the jet I always bump the right stick too hard and go into first person. It screws me up and if I don't immediately crash into something, I still lose whoever I was following.
Also crzy, what I do is lock onto a jet, wait for them to shoot their flares, then lock on again and fire both missiles (I didn't know there were two for a long time -_-) Then hurry and switch to your gun and take them out before the missiles get there and they jump out.
For losing an enemy jet: Break and do lots of tight turns. A lot of people say you should only go 1st person when firing, but it helps a lot when you're running away. Try to make them run into/ go out of their way to dodge obstructions in the environment like the radio towers and especially hills that have steep slopes. Fly upside down and narrowly miss the top of the ridge, then stick low to the ground. It's almost impossible to follow you then without running into the mountain.
If you're getting locked on by a stinger and you know where they are, fly low and close to the horizon. If they're on a high vantage point where that won't work, fly as high and far away as you can, and ONLY USE YOUR FLARES AFTER THEY'RE LOCKED ON. I see people using them as soon as I begin to target them. I have no idea why.. If you're being locked by a jet, make your turns as tight as possible and try not to get too far away from them if they still know where you are. That gives them a wider field of vision to watch you from and makes it harder to escape the lock.

I found that Rush is probably the best to get jet unlocks now...Play Rush on Kharg Island..spam select near the objectives and you can rack up points fast..Especially if you're Squad Leader and issue a command on one of the bombsites. Unlike Conquest it seems players don't care about the Jets so they won't bring out 10 Stingers to take you down. All you'll have to worry about is the enemy Heli/Jet but you can easily avoid them by flying up above 400ft. If you're still being locked on after 400 feet it means the Air Support is locking onto you, NOT a soldier. A good way to avoid there lock on is to simply turn and brake hard then hit the accelerator. It'll give you a much sharper turn and if they're right on your tail it will break their lock on long enough to get some more Spot Bonus points from the ground. Unless the pilot is smart and slows down with you lol...then you just have to hope he overshoots you still. Same thing Jabba said but it's a good way to tell if a ground soldier is locking on or a pilot. And DON'T use Flares until you see the "LOCK" thing as constant. If it's beeping then a missile hasn't be shot yet and the pilot/soldier is trying to bait you into using flares early. You fire flares when you see the solid/constant "LOCK" and hear like a high pitch beeping. This high pitch beeping tells you a missile has been fired. So it goes like this: Locking on still=slow beep, Locked on=constant beep and solid LOCK message, Missiles being Fired at you= quick high pitch beep after solid LOCK beep. Hope that's not too confusing lol...basically there are 3 types of Lock On warning beeps. When you fly the aircraft long enough, you will notice the 3rd high pitch beep from missiles incoming.

Orrrr, beep beep beep beep beep BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP beepeeepeepeepeepeepeepeep ESPLOSHION Helis are effing worthless. The missiles have a longer reload time than jet's flares do, so if it's jut you vs. a jet, you're screwed. Maybe it'll be different when I get laser tracking.
