I only usually switch classes or weapon configurations when going from above ground to below ground and back, or if I need to fill a void (add supressive fire while defending an MCOMM. Like Crzy, I got comfortable with the menu system after a couple of hours.
The only issues I have are with the glitches- which will be fixed when the game releases.

There's nothing wrong with these menus. They're hardly cumbersome, it just takes getting used to. Most of the time if I want to change something, it's done before I have the chance to respawn. It's pretty simple..
Class>Weapon>Attachments. Just scroll over to the one you want. If you're having trouble finding the right scope, stick with the RDS, ACOG, 4x or 8x. If you're sniping, go with the ballistic (12x). If you don't want to go back and forth (like I do all the time in bc2), then don't. I could do well with one set up for an entire game, but I'd rather switch from a ballistic scope to an ACOG in 2 seconds than be able to see the engineer's blind eyeballs.
The perks are no more diverse than bc2. Do you want more explosives or more protection from them? Simple.
Sorry if I seem hostile, it just seems like you're all finding anything you possibly can to complain about, without even giving it a chance.

Pretty much this... I'm getting used to play on my comp before I actually bother to play the game on the PS3. I'm actually somewhat impressed with the speed of newfags dying off already.. makes it nice to have a proper battlefield objective game. On the other hand.. I still have groups of 6+ people right next to the objective refusing to plant the f^%$ing bomb.

don't worry about being hostile, no offense taken. I have the menu itself figured out, my major complaint is that there is too much customization for me. It's the fact that not only do the different classes get customized, but each weapon within each class can be customized. Overwhelming for simpletons like me.

Jabba, try and understand where some are coming from. Some of us have very very limited time to play and can't dedicate alot of time just to fool around with the array of options. I can see where you're coming from because if I had hours upon hours to play then id be just as comfortable and it would feel like second nature. I have maybe 1.5-2.5 hrs to play for 2 to 3 nights turning the week and IF I play on fri/sat then I have about 3 or so. It. Really doesn't appease me to have to dedicate any time to do something other than killing someone, ya know?

PP2k has been my main gun for ALL kits...I just throw on Holo(or RDS forgot which), Silencer, Flashlight, or Laser. Then I save that same setup for all kits that way I don't need to go in and change anything. I don't try engaging people at long range since I know it's a short to medium range weapon. I just use that gun to unlock everything in the kit since I don't want to hassle or deal with the different guns attachments. Though I did enjoy using the Supports default weapon...it's pretty beast when you get Foregrip and Flashlight for it.

Some of you that have never played much CoD are probably having the most issues with the menu compared to MoHH2 and BC2. This menu system is still not as 'involved' as CoD, but it does have more class customization than BC2. I think you'll get used to it...or maybe you wont.

Fawkin-A. I just figured out how to add the attachments to the weapons. I kept unlocking them and then would deploy and I couldn't tell they were on there. What a stupid I am. I guess it wasn't immediately intuitive how to equip. I was just selecting weapons and perks on the main screen using the O button and never saw an option to add the attachments.

So while the menu is navigable one you figure it out it still a pisser because there is so much to choose from.

^ Exactly how it works in CoD. I'm telling you, they're borrowing a lot to ease the CoD audience in.
It's a good thing for some stuff like customization, but not good for this low health ****. D:
