Ive been getting crazy tank kills. All these new people wanna kill guys in the tank so bad they dont even pay attention, just drive as fast as they can and BAAAAAAAAAAAAM

This game is pretty awesome. Im not one to complain about graphics because i think they look pretty good.

Can anybody tell me how the jets are?
I tried the jets once. The controls were very sluggish. I shouldn't have played Ace Combat because now the BF3 jets suck ass in comparison.

I never got killed by a chopper or jet so they were just an afterthought for the games I was in. Everyone is still learning them. It won't be long before we experience games full of chopper/jet hoars.
I LOVE them.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  But yeah, it seems to me the main purpose for jets is anti-air. Occasionally a good teammate will spot a tank for you, but the only way to see them for yourself is to fly low, and then you don't have a enough time to kill it.

I'm sure the controls seem slow compared to a flying game, but just to make sure: When turning, are you slowing down and turning on your side? I'm sure you are, but it took me a while to figure it out.   Roll Eyes

I've gotten a 21 streak in a tank already.   Smiley

okay, so now my opinion on this game is steadily going south. i tried playing a little bit more but everytime i tried to join anyone it said "cannot join squad". I tried playing on my own, "lost connection to server". finally got in a game, "lost connection to server". this is a AAA title? this kind of thing was supposed to work right upon release. every other game can do this so why cant a title contending for game of the year do it?

another thing, the controls are terrible. they don't feel as precise as the bc2 controls. turbo complained about the same thing during the beta and i figured they would fix it by release time. i guess not. while i was playing the campaign there was a part where i was supposed to keep a track on a target but it was hard to do because the analog control felt grid-like. i cant explain it well but it was like it moved in a grid fashion and couldn't actually move at any angle besides 90. it was only noticeable because it was a precision type event and the controls just wouldnt allow for it.

the rest of the stuff so far is without fault. im not trying to be a whiny bich here but c'mon, bc2 still has better features that bf3.

Controls are way to jumpy. For Beta I had them at around 40% and that was pretty fast, but manageable. For BC2 it was at around 70% and comfortable.  For this its at 20% and I still tend to over correct when shooting and it sucks.  Undecided

i cant agree more. i absolutely loved the bc2 controls. they were tight and, even though they weren't the fastest in gaming, they had good speed and whats more important, as soon as you let go of the stick, it stopped right on spot. this feels very floaty and its hard to get a good aim on someone when its floaty. its almost like it goes an extra tick to the side youre turning and then stops.

my accuracy is nowhere near bc2 so far.

I have had the same issues with connection and horrible lag, the whole go around the building and then find my self back behind it again.  Graphics, still not a crisp as BC2 to me.  The remind me of Vietnam, but a little smoother.

It does feel like a new game though, not just another version of BC2, which I like yet somehow don't like.  I think once the squad thing gets worked out and we figure the maps out, it'll be fun(er).

It really does feel like the beta just without the glitches.

im going out on a limb and guessing that the rubber banding stuff plagues all DICE games. some of the problems here are exactly like the ones in bc2 though im not really gonig to complain about most of those.

one thing that i will mention is when you try and climb through the windows. it doesn't always work and you get stuck a lot. they should have like a specific climb-through-the-window animation instead of trying to vault through a window lol

The only problem I have with BF3 so far is a bit of lag (probably because of it being the first day) and the voice chat failing (cutting out).

I see we still die in 2 shots to pistols.  Shocked

I spent 1 hour playing it and left most games 1-15 because I was messing around with the Choppers and Jets. XD It's so weird trying to fly them after playing BC2. The Jet is somewhat easy to pilot but it's a **** trying to kill ground units, especially since I don't have missiles.

I unlocked Heat seekers for my Heli though, yet to use them and have no clue how they work.

I found the Legacy layout to be easier to pilot with...Have yet to change the Jet controls though.

This happens to me a lot and really messed with me on opening night when I didn't know the maps.

^this was my fear after playing the beta

Still having trouble identifying enemies. When I do spot them, the orange indicator goes away WAY too quickly.

I'm also struggling with bullet drop from the snipers. The sway makes it hard enough to hit a target, but the drop is also difficult to see when the screen is swaying.

Too many hits are needed from the semi-auto snipers to kill. I had four body shots on one enemy last night and they were still going.....

I like the mobile spawn thingy.

I miss the motion balls.

Press triangle to switch to heatseekers. It shows up every time you pilot the heli.    Roll Eyes

Aaaaand the likelihood of me getting this game is now low.  I can put up with a lot for a game I want to play, but not the controls.  That's why I hated The Conduit.  Don't want to be disappointed that way again.
