My squats/deadlifts are improving little by little, but my bench is hard to improve. I'm doing 5x5 for all of those exercises, but 65lbs each hand for DB bench is still difficult for me. I actually had to lower the weight to 55-60lbs each hand b/c my form was starting to become poor.

Form > weight


Didn't jump this past weekend, but I will be jumping the next three weekends... And I got my new High jump shoes/spikes today.

Great improvements for me! I finally got a 405 x 5 deadlift! I'm such a beasty beast now Cheesy also I'm sitting at 215 lbs and only 8% bf. Almost ready for my show in may Cheesy

I'd love to squat/DL 400+. Those are my goals. My bench goal was 300 x 1, but that definitely will not happen any time soon... New goal of 225  Embarrassed

Competed in my 4th track meet since June 2009, today. Tied my all time best jump 6'6" (1.98m).

I've only jumped that height once before which was in February 2009.
2 meets left this outdoor season, so I'm hoping for 6'8"+ (2.03m+)

Still can work on my form over the bar, and I still have plenty of strength to gain, so I know I can go much higher. I also checked the high jump results of the meet that my college's track team went to today. We had 3 kids from my school competing. One jumped 6', another 6'2" and the other one jumped 6'4"... so I jumped higher than all of them.

Not trying to brag, but it's pretty lame that the coach didn't want me training with the team in the outdoor season because now my jumps have been pretty consistent these past 3 track meets I've been in.

Then again, I guess I'm very injury prone, so maybe they didn't want to bother with me.

For the past two weeks, my knee has been bothering me again. I still jumped okay considering my highest jump is still 1.98m (6'6"), but my jumping leg's knee just feels weak.

I'm going to take the next two weeks off (just going to do a lot of stretching/icing and knee strengthening exercises).


It sucks because I put more work into training for this between Summer 2011 and Fall 2011, but I guess I'm still too weak and not technically sound to jump those higher heights, but I'm still going to try because I know I have way more in me.

This summer, I am going to train like a crazy person. I'm going to have a list of goals every day, and I will not sleep until those are completed. Then, I can rest knowing that I did all that I wanted to for that day.

More work in the weight room + technique work + a lot of sprints and core work.

I think I'll do 4 weeks of hard work, then 1 easy week, 4 hard weeks, 1 easy, etc.. I'll have to do a lot of injury prevention training and icing so this **** doesn't bother me again. I'm also planning on gaining 10-15 pounds from now until the end of August.

I'm about 170lbs now, so I want to be between 180-185. I'm going to eat a box worth of pasta every day, among all of the other stuff I eat.

MEET TODAY: I only jumped 1.91m (6'3.25), but I can't complain too much because throughout the 5 meets I've had this outdoor season, I've jumped:
-1.93m (6'4")
-1.91m (6'3.25")
-1.98m (6'6") (Tying my personal best/only my 2nd time jumping the height ever)
-1.93m (6'4")
-1.91m (6'3.25")

Between 1.91m - 1.98m, which is the most consistent I've ever jumped between meets throughout my whole jumping career.

Triple poast.

I had a gym membership at Planet Fitness last summer, but that place is laughing turd!, so I decided to get a membership at this new place about 15 mins from where I live.

It's called Elite Fitness. I paid $100 for 4 months, and they have real squat racks, heavy dumbbells, and babes that work the service desk. The two days that I've been there, the chicks at the service desk were gorgeous.

Yeah, PF sucks. I'm loving this new gym, though.


Changing up my lifting workouts for muscle confusion. Yesterday, I did squats for 45 minutes.

4 reps a minute for 43 minutes, then 5 reps for each of the last 2 minutes. Quads feeling sore today.
Before doing this, I did 6x200m sprints on the track, and after the lifts I did 20 mins on the stationary bike.

I really want to be injury free all summer so I can go hard with the weight training and sprints. I want to go to NCAA's so bad.
