If you got the quest from talking to a specific person, I would've gone back and gone through every conversation topic to find out more.

LT, if it's the quest I'm thinking of, it's the Jarl of Whiterun's assistant dude.  If it's not, I haven't a clue.

K, it's a glitch.  It'll probably go away when you go through a loading screen.

When I play single player games, I am very patient and do every side-quest and go through every sequence, cut-scene, conversation. I usually even read all the bonus text stuff unless they're just stories, which is often the case in Elder Scrolls.

A lot of the stories in TES are really good, though.

I admit I have ADHD and have never really been a person to sit and read a book. I don't doubt they're bad stories, I'm just not quite THAT patient. Tongue

RRRRRRRReally? I actually would have never guessed you had ADHD.

Turbo, you actually read those books?! Dang...I just pick them up and open to the first page and only because some of them teach you something or help you increase a skill after you "read" them.

Oh, I just read your post again. You weren't asking if it was the assistant who sent me but that it belonged to the assistant.

Sry. Alright, well I just put my laundry into wash so I have a little bit more time now. I'm going to go check it out.

Thanks a ton man!

I haven't read all of them, but eventually I'll pick one up that sound interesting and can't help but read it.

I actually spent a full real-life day (about six or seven hours) reading the books in Oblivion once.  Good times.

well you might have been right about the jarl's assistant but i'm rather screwed now. as soon as i stepped in to talk to the jarl everyone pulled out their pitchforks. even the jarl joined in so i had to take him down. couldn't kill him though since he just got back up after a while.

i really fukt up there. my bounty now stands to 21,100 gold.

new topic. how do i get a full pardon from a jarl after killing off his entire army and attacking him on mutliple occasions? also, how can i get 21,100 gold coins really fast?

Yeah, killing everyone was not a good idea. You might be able to serve some jail time or something... I'm not exactly sure how Skyrim works and I never got into much trouble with the law in Oblivion.
