Yeah the chests I pick, but not inside someone's house and I don't break in...yet.  Evil. When I get some experience and power ill do that and wait for the lynch mobs.

I'm doing the same thing.  So far I'm getting gold practically thrown at me thanks to the side-quests and how valuable the loot is.  Most of the merchants I frequent are actually low on gold thanks to me.

But if I ever need cash, you better believe I'll start robbing like a mofo.

Last night I waited behind a rock while some soldiers killed 4 rebels.  After they killed them I looted the dead bodies and got about 45 gold coins.  >_<

I didn't do it at first because I kept getting caught but after I got much better at sneaking I steal from everything I can see. Prison guard keys, people's gold, break into houses, jewelry... you name it I jacked it.

That's funny. I actually try to keep the rebels alive if  I can but usually they die fast. Also, you missed a great chance to kill the guards and get 45 more coins.  Huh?

I don't mess with Imperials.  I don't want word getting around that I'm effing up their empire just yet.

But I have killed some Thalmor douches who were about to execute a dude for worshiping Talos.  Dude's a divine, get over it.  He was a dragonborn, too.

I got a dwarven mace out of one last night.  Thing basically took out a dragon for me.  Now I just need to refine it.

Oh and this^

I got a lot of unique gear last night by breaking into some places. I don't really use my new gear though. I'm a lot more content with running around with my pickaxe and killing giants, mammoths and dragons.

Last night I went to engage a dragon with the pickaxe and a mammoth came over and took two swings at it and helped me. After I took the soul the mammoth and a giant nearby turned on me so I killed them with my pickaxe too.

I really think it's cool how the AI will do that.  Sure, that giant may want to smash your little face in, but the dragon is the top priority.

Same with thieves and wolves.  We'll wait until the mutual threat is eliminated before we gut each other.  :3

Yeah I noticed that too. I ran by a small group of giants and they were all defensive at first but then I took out a dragon that was tormenting them and suddenly I was in the group.

They seem to recognize threat level and differentiate between friend and foe.

So far I'm really impressed with the NPCs, too.  In Oblivion, there were maybe five voice actors in the entire game, and the NPCs were completely retarded.  In Skyrim, they actually feel real.  You can hear inflections in their voice.  They exhibit appropriate body language for what they're saying.  They hold conversations that actually make sense (and aren't always about mudcrabs).

Oh, the memories.

I don't feel as lonely as I did when playing Oblivion.

hey turbo, is there an easier way to keep up with the side quests? im totally swamped with things to do and its not always easy to know where im supposed to go.

i know if you highlight the quest you are working on and hit the map button there will be an arrow where you are supposed to go to complete the mission. my problem is that i have so many missions that when i get around to an older one that might say "deliver x item to mr. weirdassname", i can get to the general location but how the hell am i supposed to know who mr. weirdassname is?

any help?

Aside from suggesting you look search for your question on the GF Skyrim board, I'm afraid I can't help.  I'm having the same problem with a few quests myself.  :/

Just search the entire city and talk to people. I haven't played Skyrim but I know in Oblivion if you looked at the map, often people's houses are named after them which could give you an idea where they will most likely be.

well im glad it isn't just me. a lot of times i'll be running around for an hour just to complete one task only to be given another. shiit piles up.

yeah i looked at people's houses and the names on the map too. i also ran around the town and talked to everyone (apparently not) and still couldn't find the guy. It was an older task where i had to deliver a sword to some guy. Not hard but the quest description literally just says "deliver this sword to 'mr. weirdassname' (that's not his name but all the names in this game sound very scandinavian and i can't fokin remember them)" and I have no idea who the guy is! I looked everywhere and finally just got pist off and killed the entire city. I racked up like $10-15,000 bounty there and I don't have that money so I can't ever go back to that city now.

Good riddance!
