Yeah, I was working for the platty in this game. Then I realized that since I didn't kill a few people that apparently I should have.... I can't get the daedric artifacts needed for the trophy.

Just go psycho-God-mode and kill everyone.

Problem solved.

I may use the Ebony sword of deceit to kill everyone some time.  It's a 1-2 hit kill.   Azn

Not so much. The artifacts I'd need would have to be gifted to me.

Can we enter god mode on PS3? I've seen my brother do it on PC... but I don't see where we would be able to enter commands on the PS3.

Nah, you can't access the game console on the PS3.  But you can turn the difficulty all the way down, and with half decent weapons and armor you'd basically be in god-mode.

And maybe you can pickpocket those artifacts?  I dunno.

Nah, one is the Ring of Namira or whatever. You had to eat a dude to get it... I thought it was gross so I didn't do it and killed the chic that was the leader of the ritual. The ring comes from the daedric.

Also, the other one is the sharded razor. The daedric would only put it together if I killed a dude. Instead, unknowingly, I let the guy live and he took the shards and put them in a box in his museum in Dawnstar. Even if I could get them out of the box (which you can through a glitch) I would not be able to get them put together.

If I make a new account could I do just those quests and still get the platty?

Oh.  Quest items.  That sucks.

I'm not entirely sure if that will work, but it probably should.  You get trophies for completing those quests, right?  And a platinum trophy is just getting all the other trophies.  So it should work.

Here's hoping. Wink

What makes me mad is that if you skip like ANY quests it could hinder you from getting platty. I obviously didn't know that would hinder my chances of platty. I was just trying to be a "good guy". Durn it.

I'm still trying to be the good guy.

So far I've accidentally stolen a bucket (the owner promptly took it back from me, lulz) and shot a Whiterun guard in the head because at a distance I thought he was a bandit.  In my defense, I had just fought two bandits and knew there were two more in the area, so when I saw him moving it was the most natural assumption.

Basically I'm bad at being good.  :(

Oh trust me, once you get into the Dark Brotherhood quests, you either have to stomach the murders of innocent people or get out!!  Evil

Alexander the Great contributed hugely to the success of Hellenistic learning. In unifying Greece, he allowed cultures to intertwine and lend aspects to one another. The Hellenic ways offered a non-utilitarian way of research, while the Hellenistic supported patronage to science. Formerly non-patronized scientists now had a stronger motive and greater means to research, and the state-sponsored scientists now had a different way of thinking.
The Museum at Alexandria was a vast wealth of learning. All over, patrons were delivered to combine their research and contribute to higher learning. Patronage was somewhat "fickle", but stipendiaries were well kept and had not a difficult life. Teaching was a good part of the Museum's anatomy, but for the most part it served for a center of ongoing thought. "Stipendiaries were often the targets of envious attacks as 'rare birds' fed in gilded cages". This statement sums the role of the Museum perfectly. The scientists were extraordinary minds, and well fed and sheltered for their contributions.
Astronomy was the largest section in the chapter, explaining how the laws at the time hindered much progress. As problems were solved, more yet questions were asked. Most was based on then-known fact, but a lot of progress was lost on spiritual attributions. Sure, it would make sense that planets revolve around a sun, but how could we be among the heavens? Earth is corruptible, surely we aren't to believe ourselves in the same with gods.
In the end, Hellenistic progress was more about sole knowledge, not utilitarian applications. There were several products that came, such as the aqueducts and better catapults, but mostly the knowledge gained was purely philosophical.

I use the reply box to count the words in my chapter summaries. It's late, and I can't think words good. Don't judge my writing.     Lips Sealed

Oh, I did all of those and am done with it. I just thought I had a choice in being good or bad. Didn't realize it would cost me the platty though!!

Lol. I steal stuff all the time. However, I have so many "friends" in this game that most stuff is given to me for free at this points. Seriously, I am swimming in resources. Once you complete the stone quest you find gems everywhere and figuratively have mulah coming out of your ears!

I typically play as a loner, so I don't have many friends.  I deliberately buy a house in Whiterun for the sole purpose of sticking Lydia and any other "friends" I pick up along the way in there, out of harm's reach.  For some reason I can't allow Lydia to just chill in Dragonsreach.

Oh, and when the guard inevitably came to arrest me, I could have just told him to eff off seeing as I was Thane of Whiterun, but instead I payed the bounty.  I just can't bring myself to hurt anyone in this game.  I guess it's because they're so much more lifelike.

Didn't have that problem in Oblivion at all.  Not. At. All.
