I don't find Steady Aim very helpful, but I have it as my 3rd perk unlock for Specialist. (for the Model 1887)

, only time i've used steady aim is to complete the challenges for pro, sitrep and dead silence is where its at.

That is what is the most interesting thing about the COD formula. Everyone has perks and such they favor and go to for better or worse. Below is a link of perks and more for COD BO2. I can look at the list of BO2 perks and such and quickly see my bias. I always favor perks / attachments for faster (lightweight, ex con, speed attachment etc.), faster getting a shot off (quickdraw, steady aim pro which brings your gun up faster after sprinting which corresponds well with ex con), loading faster & swapping weapons faster, I swap for pistol kills too much (sleight of hand). I use steady aim as much for steady aim pro, but steady aim supposedly helps tighten shotty buckshot hip shot spread. In MW3 I use quickdraw/stalker with snipers/MK-14 and try to ADS every time, Stalker is nice to be able to ADS move quicker. MW3 Quickdraw available to snipers nice compared to no sniper Quickdraw in COD BO. MW3 Specialist is by far my fave COD kill streak package, strategizing extra perks is interesting, I always use hardline last to get to Specialist bonus (most every perk) one kill quicker. For me it is about doing things faster. If you see the COD BO2 perks and more, link attached below, I can see my initial BO2 picks. I am a COD nub what can I say.
My initial BO2 Perk Tiers1) Lightweight - Move faster / take no damage from falling (I learned to survive on this pro perk in BO)
2) Toughness — Flinch less when shot. (MW3 snipers are tough to hold scope on target, ie. bullet flinch)
{I will not use perks that get me more nades or faster nade use on principle, lol}
3) Extreme Conditioning — Sprint for a longer duration (always a personal fave)
Wildcards initial pick (lets you choose another perk from one of the tiers I think ? or other)Perk 3 Greed: Dexterity — Climb ladders and mantle over objects faster, recover from melee faster and aim faster after sprinting. [all about doing things faster]
Attachments I will considerFast Mags = (SoH), faster reload is something I have favored.
Quickdraw = Nice if available for snipers / semi-auto assault rifles.
Laser Sight = Steady Aim (or) maybe Foregrip for tighter shotty hip spread or tamer shotty recoil (?)
