Hallowed be The Game

So who else plays this REAL MAN GENRE of video games? I do. Recently I'v been playing a lot on GGPO. It allows you to play all the old arcade fighters online without lag. I started out with Vampire Savior, but although the game is fun and really strategic, it's not my thing. I'm more of a Marvel Vs Capcom fan. So being able to play Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men Children of the Atom, and X-Men Vs Street Fighter is amazing.

As for console stuff. Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is like, the biggest let down for a franchise since the Star Wars prequel trilogy. I know some people like it a lot, but for me and my friends, it's the single most boring and shallow game in the entire franchise. King of Fighters 13 is pretty damn fun though. But other then that not much I find really fun, except Blazblue which is solid but not great. I'v heard bad, bad stuff about Soul Calibur 5 too. So I'll probably wait till price is reduced to pick it up. Luckily, Skullgirls looks like it's going to be the best "air dash" fighter since Guilty Gear. I'm really, really looking forward to this game since every reaction to it, from tournament players and casuals to skeptics and enthusiasts, has been that it's absolutely amazing. That game has my money on day one.
