Ived had an xbox for longer than my ps3. I just never got it fixed after it got RROD. Plus I don't want to pay to play, especially if time is limited.

Oh, I can believe it. EA isn't known for making quality products.
to be fair, they've gotten a lot better in recent years. i look at an activision game now the way i used to an ea game See that's the thing I've always wanted to know about. BF3 is made my DICE but published by EA. I wan't to know if some of the things I hate most about the game were completely of DICE's design or if EA stuck their noses in and pushed for changes they wanted. I say that because I always thought EA was always hard after the CoD crowd where DICE seemed like they just wanted to make their own game. Now we're stuck with a wannabe game.

As far as Xbox goes, I don't have anything against it only that I have a preference for my PS3. $50 or $60 a year isn't really a big deal either.
Oh, and also, I've always played either Nintendo or Playstation and I'm very familiar with the PS3 controller and like it. It could use some improvements on some things but for the most part I prefer it over the oddly positioned analog sticks of the Xbox.
Lastly, Xbox has no games.

$50-$60 is a big deal when I have 5 mouths to feed on one income.

And $50 - $60 dollars is about the price of a new game. I don't have consistent enough income to sacrifice one game per year when I can usually afford one or two to begin with.

Well that's fine and all, I mean, nothing is going to be perfect for everyone. Still, personally and probably generally too, I don't consider it too much for me since I don't have the responsibilities that you guys do.
