Full list of what it adds/fixes can be found here.

Notable additions:

- Kill animations for bows and spells; additional kill animations for swords/axes/maces
- Value of an item now factors in to how much the Smithing skill will increase upon that item's creation.

I NEVER squeeze my jubblies, so that stuff wouldn't work for me.

Pretty much.  It may still be useful for low-level Smithing increases, but not for going all the way to 100.

Shucks, should've made it to 100 Smithing before the patch came out.  At any rate, I do think it's a good idea as the previous method didn't make much sense.  Crafting Dragon Plate armour should give you more skill than Iron armour.

Definitely agree about the armor differences.

But, as for your concern about wanting to get to 100, you could always just not install the patch, get Smithing to 100, then install the patch.

Well it doesn't really matter too much to me to get 100 Smithing but it is difficult to get the Daedric Bow otherwise.  You need to be around Lv. 50 for it to start spawning in master chests.  (Or so I've read) and I'm only Lv. 36 or so and have beaten all the quests.

Surely you haven't gone in every dungeon, though, right?

When I roam around Skyrim, there's never any black, unfound locations and I go to the areas that seem to have less cluttered locations.  There's a few quests that've glitched/bugged out on me and maybe one dungeon I missed but I'm basically done the game. Time for DLC. Tongue

Wow.  So, every cave/fort/whatever has "-cleared" under its name?

How much time do you have on that save?

I haven't checked, but I'll admit I was pretty addicted when I got it for Christmas.  Within a week I had over 100 hours. Lips Sealed

I didn't realize the dragon priest masks and the claws were all quests, too. I just thought they were loot (albeit good loot). I learned the hard way that some items only spawn once and you can't go back to get them from the merchants. :(

Yeah, I had the same thought about the dragon priest masks.  I haven't done that quest yet, but I really, really want to.  It seems so cool.

Yeah, I thought about doing it on my 2nd account. I have already done all the daedric quests on that one, too. I haven't sold any of the big stuff on the second account yet.

I love the daedric quests.  I haven't finished all of them, but so far the most messed-up one was Molag Bal's.  That house was creepy, he's creepy, and the end of the quest is just sadistic as all hell.  Definitely showed Molag Bal in the proper light.
