http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-m11x-r3/pdThat's the Alienware I'm looking at. With almost-maxed-out specs, it's a bit over $1000, but I've read hundreds of reviews and they all seem positive. It won't run Skyrim or BF3 on super-duper-awesome max settings, but it will run it lag-free on normal settings. Since I'm not a big graphics person, that won't bother me at all. As for the mouse, I randomly happened upon a really good wireless one a few years back and I've been using it ever since. It's a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000. A quick Google search shows it selling from $20 - $30 online, and I can guarantee it's worth it. It doesn't have any fancy side buttons like some higher-end ones do, but it's served its purpose well.

Go to the customization menu. You get this:
Intel Core i7 2637M 1.7GHz(2.8GHz w/Turbo Boost, 4MB Cache)
They display the bare-bones build to entice you with a lower price.

I'm not sure if I want the Wii U or not. I'm excited for Pikmin 3 and another Mario Kart but I just don't know if it's worth it...and I'm also getting away from gaming a little bit, besides sports games.

Slowly moving away from games. I don't have the money or time anymore. If I had money and time I'd get a PS4. Since we're pretending I'd just get them all. but seriously PS4 sounds awesome.

If a system has motion controls like the wii I might get it, otherwise I doubt i'd get another system again.

Well the Wii is supposed to be keeping it's Wii Remote setup and I do believe the PS4 will carry on with the MOVE.
The problem with the MOVE is that there aren't too many major titles that support it. I know you play a lot of CoD and so far MOVE support hasn't been added. I might add that the developers for Killzone added MOVE support but actually had to put in performance limits since MOVE players were outperforming the Dualshock guys. Maybe that's one reason why Infinity WArd won't support it.

Yeah what Laughing Turd said Jayson. The Wii U will still support the Wiimote and maybe the PS4 will still support the Move although not many developers are supporting it on the PS3.
Also damn I did not know what you just said right now Turd about all that Killzone and Move stuff. I guess we now know who can win between a motion controller and a regular controller for an fps game huh? I mean the Wii allows both motion controls and classic controller support for fps games too, but now we have another example only this time it's on the PS3 with very little lag online.

i don't want to do the whole move or kinect **** when I play video games, I want to sit on my ass with a comfortable controller (ps2 / xbox 360) and veg for a couple hours. it's not a **** $300 fitness program.
with that being said, I don't know if I'm too crazy about the WIiU's controller yet. obviously i'll have to learn more about it and see it in action before i make a decision but, as of now, idk if i'd get a wiiu. leaning towards the xbox720 if anything.
although, i will say, we should all try to coordinate to an extent and get the same console that supports a good fps or rts game that we can play.

I'll give you credit for your post. I like to veg and play, too. I DO like the kinect for social gatherings, though. That's why I like it so much. It's really funny to watch people play.

First of all because I hate having to uninstall all of their crap (I'm looking at you, HP Support Center). We have an HP desktop at my parents' house, so I've had plenty of time to familiarize myself with it. Granted, it's not a gaming build, but it's still a shoddy machine.
