Be fair.

She was supposed to look odd in Wonderland.
That's a very flattering picture, and even then she's average. As in, "Hey, that girl that lives next door isn't unattractive." She's definitely not "Hollywood beautiful". Anyway any time I've ever seen her she annoys the crap out of me.

Even in this picture she just seems like a less-attractive Sandra Bullock.

That's a very flattering picture,

Not really.  I deliberately picked one that wasn't overly flattering.

For comparison:

That doesn't sound like "fugly" to me.

Some of her roles can be annoying (Wonderland is actually the best example I can think of), but I don't see how that relates to her level of attractiveness.

IIRC they're related somehow.  I think.

Oh, come on. Maybe 60% of that picture is original. Maybe. It's not even done well.

Maybe not physical attractiveness, but for me I'd be much more interested in an average girl with an amazing personality than a "beautiful" girl with a shitty one.

Yeah, I agree, but what I'm saying is that she probably doesn't act that way in real life.

Why not? I'm talking about how she acts on late night shows and whatnot. I'd assume that's pretty much how she acts normally.

on a slightly unrelated note, i hate fat people who expect people to feel sorry for them. im not gonna judge anyone on appearance (except turbo that ugly manwhore), but there's people who go around expecting pity and can't accept the fact they're fat yet they never **** exercise and they don't eat right, so it's like what do you expect?

You think you'd act normally if you were invited onto a talk show?

Actors are entertainers and they're expected to entertain.  I know I've put on a fake air of charm in interviews before.  It's always for a specific purpose.

I'm just saying it's not really fair to judge her based on how she acts under the spotlight.

You're mean.

But yeah, I'm the same way.  Whenever I hear them blame it on genetics, I always ask them to cite which gene/allele/gene sequence is responsible.  Interestingly enough they never know.

Also, relevant:

Eh, I guess so.

Same. I've actually been gaining some weight lately, but I could never get fat. There's a point where I would just become disgusted with myself and do something. I would never expect pity, as I'm pretty annoyed by fatness myself.

I do need to start working out though. It's just so hard.. you people don't know how easy you have it, being skinny.

yeah genetics is bs anyways, thats an excuse not a reason. its not some inevitable curse to being fat for the rest of your life. my roommate's pre-disposed and he works out all the time, eats extremely healthy, i always seem him counting calories and ****, and he's skinnier than i am, and i only really gain weight whenever i drink a lot.

Such bollocks.  Tongue

But yeah, the converse can be said about people who complain about being skinny.  I'm tired of being thin, so I've been doing something about it.  Gained ~20 lbs over the course of the spring semester.  Weight goal is 190 by the end of the summer.

How do you gain weight, though? I basically eat whatever cheap garbage I want, whenever. I don't stay hungry for long unless I'm on an all-day neckbeard session, in which case I just don't care. I don't notice a difference whether I eat one Hot Pocket a day for a week or four plus two microwave meals and breakfast.

The way I've found best for me is drinking milk.  Tons of milk.  It helps that I like milk a lot, too.

Really there's only so much you can eat until you feel sick, but you can drink much more and do so much more consistently than eating large meals.  I still eat large meals (tonight's dinner was two corndogs, two eggs and one full brick of ramen, for example), but milk or other high-calorie drinks are the best supplements for just gaining weight in my limited experience.

Now, obviously you want to avoid things like soft drinks and juice, as those are mostly sugar.  Milk has a decent bit of sugar as well, but it's also got a good amount of protein (I think whole milk has ~4 grams per serving).

Also, grains.  Mac and cheese, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with whole wheat bread, spaghetti, those sorts of things.  Delicious and high in calories.

I hate milk with a passion. It doesn't help that I'm lactose intolerant.

Have you been working out or exercising, anything? You wouldn't want to get tubby.   Tongue
