Alright, I'm sure those of you who can see this are wondering what's up.

Anyways, first off: Who can this forum?

Staff, Founding Members, and People we let into the clan.

What is the clan?

Wii Unite is literally a gaming clan now. Those who are interested in applying can currently PM me for a test. As of right now we are doing Awesomenauts and nothing else. Of course, if you're interested in starting your own division just it run it by us.

this will probably be dead for a few days, but this is still kinda a "beta" idea. I do have a team though I play with I'll be bringing over to Wii Unite.

I call Calladootee leaduh  Cheesy

I don't really know if I'll actually do anything with this because I'm kind of already in a "clan" but I really don't consider it a clan, and I don't like being in things considered clans, I like calling them communities.  Lips Sealed

also I lol'd at "who can this forum?"

I have plenty of people I know that play MW3 but they're not really forum goers and a lot of them are... younger. Tongue Most of them are mature but I don't know if I want to try to get them to come here.

Once BO2 comes out I will be very active on CoD and also be playing with a LOT of people on it, so we'll see what happens then.

Me too  Tongue

Q: How many divisions per game will we have? Some games have multiple groups.

Q: What will the posititions be? Only leader/co-leader or smaller captains as well?

Q: How will these positions be given? Reliability? Skill in the game? Strategy?

right now im aiming for maybe 3 3mant eams, the game supports 3v3 so a best 2 out of 3 series with a different team each round is what im thinking.

as for everything else, there will be no 'leader.' we're a team that listens to each other's opinions, and we'll mutually agree on the best ideas for the team.

Sounds good.

But don't you think since this is a strategy game it could be beneficial to have in-game captains? I mean for the clan in general I agree with the democratic model, but for a lot of games it's hard to get people to listen to you during the stress of the game, unless you have some sort of authority. That way, the captain could organize the team and everyone else can focus less or strategizing and more on playing. If the captain makes bad calls or doesn't listen to anyone else, we just select a new captain.

Just my suggestion. I've never actually been in a clan so you have more experience than I do.

I agree with in-game captains.  When you're in a competitive atmosphere, you need a dictator.  While having a bad leader would hurt, it would hurt worse to have everyone off doing their own thing.

in all the games ive played competitively, ive never had an in game captain, and id like to think competitively ive been successful. whoever the strategy comes to, say it and we'll all listen. we don't have to wait on someone to think something up.

honestly, the only time i have had an in game captain was on mw2, i was kinda like the unnamed captain since more or less i was the main one saying "hey do this, do this" and i think I ended up hurting the team more than helping. on my 360 gb team, all of us just communicated equally and we did work.
