alot of people are going to disagree with me here but its hard for me to put down some of the older players that played in the 60s etc players have evolved since then they are bigger faster stronger now **** if dwight howard or shaq played in the 60s traveled back in time somehow they would avg 70 a game. they might of been one of the best for there time but not one of the best that ever tounched a basketball imo anyway here is my list
Michael jordan - don't even have to explain my reasons he obviously should be on everyones top 5
kobe bryant- personally i hate the guy but he is a beast on the basetball court in his prime he deservers to be on this list imo back when he had his legs and could drive. Alot of people consider him a stat **** cause he attempts alot of shots but the guy does whatever he can to try to get the win even if thats being a ball hog he will do it very competitive player and very succesfull (5 time champion)
Shaq- the best big man imo in his prime he was a straight up beast for real not only could he rebound he could block play fantastic defense and could score the ball. the only thing lacking in his game at all is his free throws but everything else he did outweigh that. his defensive play in the playoffs was fantastic he has won multiple rings
Magic Johnson-The best true pg to ever play imo. three NBA MVP Awards, nine NBA Finals appearances, twelve All-Star games, and ten All-NBA First and Second Team nominations. He led the league in regular-season assists four times, and is the NBA's all-time leader in average assists per game, at 11.2 nothing more to say.
Dirk Nowitzki- I imagine ill get some hate here but let me explain myself. He is truly the best shooting big man i have ever seen. He makes a living on one of the hardest shots to make in the game fade away jumpers and he does it over and over and over. He is 7 foot and can make 3s all day. His ppg total is always higher in the playoffs then in the regular season he has won a league mvp and finals mvp. He is one of the best free throw shooters the game has ever seen. Without dirk the mavs would be nothing for years he would carry them in the playoffs only to fall up short because lack of help he doesn't need allstars around him just capable defenders and afew players who can make shots when they are open.
Honorable mentions lbj-he gets entirely to much hate the guy is the most versatile player i have seen can score rebound assist and blk shots. he has the best build i have seen in a basketball player he has the chance to be the best to ever play but his mind is not right and he will never be that. he lacks the killer instinct that you need he is not clutch at all in clutch situations. he can carry a team by himself but in the end you need a guy that will take over and not get you close to the win but someone that will get you the win.
durant- give him afew more years
larry bird
allen iverson
kareem
