I want a Pokemon game for the WiiU.  I want the same incredible experience that Nintendo gave me ten years ago.

Nintendo's conference ends on a low note.

My verdict on the WiiU: The next-gen console with current-gen graphics, giving you last-gen games a year late.

This was weak. Seriously, they showed their strongest hand first.

That settled it. I don't really have anything to look forward to in the Wii U so I'm not getting it.

Smash bros.

That would have sold the WiiU for me, as would a new Zelda or (first person) Metroid or Pokemon game would have.

What's with the new Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the DS? Like seriously how long are they gonna keep **** with the fans? The last LoS title pulled the same **** numbers all the Metroidvania fans had. It's just fans being loyal and they don't give a **** and don't give us what we want. It's bs. **** Cox, put Iga back in charge of the games. If I want to play God of War then I'll **** buy God of War.

It's obvious Nintendo has abandoned any resemblance of the company that got into gaming.  Now that I have a gaming laptop, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna abandon Nintendo as well.  If it weren't for The Last of Us, I would probably abandon consoles altogether.

I think the system is kinda neat, actually. My kids would love it.

And why are you guys acting like there won't be a new zelda/metroid/etc... You know they will release them at some point.

As far as I could tell, it's an HD console on par with it's competition that has a unique extra controller.

But, I don't plan on getting one any where near launch. Maybe later though.

Notice how you didn't say you would love it.  That's basically how the rest of us feel.  It's like you have to be 10 to enjoy a Nintendo game now.

We're not acting like there won't be a new one.  But considering it's been multiple years since the last Pokemon Stadium-type game, since a good Metroid game (Other M does not count), and a hell of a long time since Starfox, we kind of expected to see at least a teaser from those franchises.  Even a Super Smash Bros game could have been shown.

Which isn't good.  It took Nintendo like, what, six years to get on par with current consoles?  And all they have to show for it is a gimmicky controller?  That's not what progress looks like.

Well, I think of it as something I might get in addition to my ps3. I dont need a ps4 yet and wouldn't buy one if it came out this year.... most likely. I can't see a reason for better gfx yet cuz they are plenty good enough now for a console system. All that can be improved upon at the moment is input methods, online, and game play. TV's aren't going to get better resolution any time soon. I don't know... I thought it was interesting.

+1 Turbo for covering the event. I was at a friend's house watching the event and didn't want to type out all the info as the stuff went down. I just wanted to sit back and relax and actually just watch it.

I'll be the first to admit that it wasn't that good of a conference. However, it did have a lot of exclusives coming to the Wii U. I for one am looking forward to Zombi U (want more info!), Pikmin 3 (the game looked awesome), New Super Mario Bros. U (imagine if it's compatible with New Super Mario Bros. 2), Scribblenauts Unlimited, Rayman Legends, and yes even NintendoLand because it's kind of Playstation Home for the Wii U.

For non exclusives Assassin's Creed 3, Darksiders 2, Batman: Arkham City, and Mass Effect 3 all interested me.

I'm shocked Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 hasn't been announced for Wii U or Battlefield 3. Wii U needs a AAA fps game.

I'd give the conference a 7/10 since they did actually make me be shocked and stuff a few times. I still can't believe they didn't even mention the Wii U console though. You see it in the background running these demos and yet no mention of it.

I think it was underwhelming.  And I think the reason why is this:

We, gamers, watch E3.  We want to see the details.  We want specs, we want an impressive lineup, we want to see what the big three have in store for us, even if it's a ways in the future.  What we don't want to see is Usher, Sing, Just Dance, Kinect, Wonderbook, Nintendoland, and that other garbage.  Show us what you're preparing; we're the ones who are watching.  Save the Usher crap for the mainstream media.
