That's just some vlog from Iwata about the concept behind the WiiU or whatever.  Won't be seeing any big news from that, I don't think.

If anyone wanted to watch the Nintendo Direct that just ended about 20 or so minutes ago, here it is:

That's just some vlog from Iwata about the concept behind the WiiU or whatever.  Won't be seeing any big news from that, I don't think.

They showed a few new things that we didn't know about. Mainly about the Wii U Gamepad (what the controller is called) and what it is capable of.

And this:

I wish they would step away from this family-centered philosophy.  My family are not gamers; they are not going to play games just because the controls are intuitive.  Literally nothing about that excited me, and I'm actually less interested in seeing the WiiU's game lineup Tuesday now.

The Gamecube controller was great in my opinion, but it definitely wasn't traditional.

Now they're coming out with what is essentially a 360 controller clone.

I'm actually giving them the benefit of the doubt. I mean, you know they are going to go ahead with the family friendly stuff but we still don't really know if the 3rd party devs. have something pretty **** on the platform.

gamecube had a very crappy for no reason right joystick and the buttons were pretty bad. this one the joysticks are too far apart. think about how youre thumbs are going to feel sticking straight up.
