Hahaha, just the suspense man. The silent atmosphere, the faint ambient violin screeching, never knowing if there's something around the corner.. The one part where there's a room leading to a hallway where you just saw a necro from a window. The room is pitch dark except for your tiny flashlight, and halfway through it a pan falls over or something with a loud bang. I NOPE'd and went to bed.

I played all of DS1 at night, with lights off, with my turtle beaches. If you played like that and didn't get suspenseful and jump at least once, go kill yourself.

Nope, it was very obvious when something was gonna happen. It got really predictable, it was just things jumping out... over, and over, and over. DS1 was boring. DS2 was more fun.

京阪, you think he's frlz or just trying to sound tough?

If someone plays DS1 at night, with light off, and with turtle beaches on (sound reasonably high)... there is going to be some suspense. That's if you're fully paying attention to the game.

There were times in DS1 that you would hear **** and think something was gonna pop out, but nothing happened, then three seconds later you get knocked down by a giant ****ing centipede. The sounds/atmosphere made DS1 even though the level design was repetitive.

I agree. Before I actually played it, my friend and I smoked and he showed me the concept art. That fucking ambient music.. I got massive chills when the hallway flashed.

I don't try to sound tough, I'm not that kind of guy at all, this game just wasn't scary. I kind of want to play Fear now, as that may actually scare me.

Do you actually want to be scared, then? Try reading creepypastas at night in the dark. It gets pretty rustly.
