I have watched exactly zero episodes of the show, but I want to. Anyway, if Reddit's reaction last night is any indication of the amount of views this show gets, I'm completely confident there will be a second season.

I'm sure a new plot device wouldn't be too hard. Hell, they could even introduce new benders/new styles of bending, like with Toph and metal bending.

Ugh, not more stuff. 4 elements is perfect. I don't like how it's so modern... But it's still a great show. I enjoy watching it and look forward to the next season.

The Legend of Korra was originally just supposed to be a short mini-series. It was then converted into an actual series. I'm pretty sure what we saw was pretty much just the plot of the planned mini-series fleshed out a bit. Given how popular it's become, I'm pretty positive it will continue. And it better. Korra is **** good.

>"A lot of work goes into these shows. It takes a long time on animation... We’re like, guys it took us two years to make that, come on, we’re still working!"
I lol'd heartily. Welcome to the animation business broskis. A grand total of maybe 6 months of work is spent on any given tv airing animu. The last episode literally has the final touches done about 1-2 days in advance of airing. And studios do this with multiple shows per season and as good if not better animation than the ish they're putting out.
